Well-maintained campsite with good sanitary facilities and a good restaurant. Just 300m from the beach and 2 km from a shopping centre. Ideally situated to visit Santander (Museo Maritimo, Centro Botin, Casino de Sardina), Picos de Europa National Park and the lovely village Santillana del Mar. The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao is only a 50-minute drive away.

De camping verraste ons qua locatie, rust, sanitair, zicht, en bovenal behulpzaamheid van personeel (we verbleven er, wegens autopech, in afwachting van herstel, zonder auto). Kindvriendelijkheid, geen idee. Het zwembad waren ze aan het vullen tijdens ons verblijf, niet uitgetest, restaurant evenmin.

Lovely campsite close to the Santander ferry. But it is also a good base for visiting the Cantabrian coastline. There are spectacular views over the sea which is just a few minutes walk away. The toilet block is a bite dated, but always spotlessly clean and constant hot water. The owner is friendly and very helpful. We have visited this site since 2014 and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

We stayed for 3 nights and could have stopped for longer.
We had a good sized pitch,with some shade for trees. Some of the pitches were on the small side.
The showers and toilets were clean and plenty of hot water. There was no soap in the toilets.
Unfortunately our experience of eating in the restaurant in the evening was disappointing and we thought it was overpriced. The menu del dia during the day appeared much better value.
The beach is only a short walk away and is beautiful as are the beaches in the area. We cycled into Santander and another day walked along the cliff tops.
The swimming pool was not open.

Minpunten: Het legen van het chemisch toilet
Eindoordeel: Een mooie camping. Santander op 8 km. Bijna aan het strand gelegen. Op het oude gedeelte bij de receptie zijn smalle diepe plaatsen. Er is weinig schaduw. Maar we kregen zonder te vragen een dubbele plaats zodat de luifel uitgedraaid kon worden. Zo werd het een royale staanplaats. De plaats voor het legen van het grijze water en het toilet is erg onhandig. De camping wordt druk bezocht ivm. de Ferry naar UK. Er zijn geen ophang haken in de douches. Bezoek ook het oude dorp (33 km.) Santillana del Mar. Erg toeristisch maar wel leuk.

Motorhome…Nice clean site,close to the sea for windy walks.Very well epuiped dining and bar area.Need signs for fresh water and gray waste points.Plenty adjustable hot water.20 mins from Santander ferry port,a real plus.Poured with rain all day on our last day,mind you that was beginning May.Will certainly use again Easy in and out.Oh,I forgot,the boss there is learning English,a nice old boy…

Prima camping deze tijd van het jaar erg stil, wij hadden een prachtige plaats met direct zich op zee. plaatsen zijn niet echt groot en sommige door een muur slecht zich op zee. Sanitair is schoon en goed, Douche met drukknop is niet regelbaar maar prima temperatuur en redelijke druk. Wifi 80/100 is gratis maar werkt absoluut niet op de camping, maar in de keurige recreatiezaal prima wifi in mooie zitjes met uitzicht op zee.

prima voor bezoek aan Santander. Kleine, smalle lange camper plaatsen.
Het terein voor caravans was gesloten. Verouderd maar schoon en ruim sanitair. Douche regelbaar en met onbeperkt warm water. In de douche is geen mogelijkheid iets op te hangen, uitsluitend een minuscuul zeepbakje. Dus buiten de douche uitkleden en per cabine 1 haak om je kleding op te hangen. Wifi is gratis maar werkt zeer matig en alleen buiten. Prijslijst echt laag voor wat ze bieden.

A lovely quiet site, only a short bus or car ride from Santander centre but near the coast. pitches are long and narrow, with some tree branches in the way if you’re not careful. The bar and restaurant were closed when we were there, having an upgrade. the pool was also closed. a nearby bar on the beach was also closed. Toilets and showers were good. The Elsan and waste water are to the rear of the site. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the ladies spoke good English. If you can’t get access through the rear gate by a key from reception, then it is quite a hike around the road to the bus stop at the cemetery which is very ornate. Take care with bus times as the bus only comes up from Corden at certain times. WiFi is free and of good quality.
