Excellent site for visiting surrounding area. Great view if the sun rising on the Pecos mountains at breakfast. 14 metre outfit no problem. Pool large. Restaurant great food including breakfast. Huge beach nearby nearly deserted in October even though it\'s 29 degrees.
An excellent campsite with large grass pitches. Very helpful friendly staff, great views across the valleys and mountains. Excellent restaurant and onsite shop, large central toilet block that was kept spotlessly clean. An excellent site for children or adults, wifi coverage was reasonable, annoyingly it kept logging you out after an hour. Will definitely visit again.
Stayed two years ago so was happy to return. This time it was a stopover having arrived at Santander earlier on the ferry. Very obliging helpful staff. Great bar / cafe with very good prices. Loo & showers well maintained & clean. Happy to recommend - about 45 mins from ferry terminal.
Immaculate facilities, delish local food in restaurant, friendly staff. Terraced site with generous pitches. Pool open - not heated. View of Picos (with snow). Good walking Comillas (Gaudi house/old town/port). Short drive to San Vicente de Barqueros - lovely flat walk and lots of sardines! Not far from Santillana del Mar - ancient town well worth seeing (beware cobbles - not great for wheelchairs) - good tapas!
Excellent base for visiting Comillas. With a large motorhome we had wanted to park parallel to the road but the manager said no to our first choice as he said he wouldn\'t be able to tow us off if we got stuck and rain was forecast for the following evening. Agreed with his judgement and moved a little further along with direct access to the site road. Good to see such concern for placement. Great laundry facilities and good shop and restaurant. ..had a couple of lovely meals here in the evening..smashing grilled king prawns on a skewer for starters. Staff spoke excellent English. Highly recommended. Even the pool was open..unusual this early in the season!
Brilliant site, fantastic views overlooking hills and farm land. No sea view.
Beach a good 10-15 min walk or nice bike ride. Lovely sandy beach.
Campsite is exceptionally clean, shower block and w/c spotless.
Restaurant and bar serving good local food. Bar has a TV.
Free wi-fi. Site also has a small shop which stocks all the essential\'s.
Good size outdoor swimming pool, with sun loungers on the edge of pool, with outdoor shower. Good for walking or biking, safe for children to bike to beach and along country roads. Highly recommended this site.
We travelled as a couple with two dogs and a large caravan. After nine weeks of travelling through France, Spain and Portugal this is the most superior site we have ever stayed on. Toilets - amazing! Toilet seats, toilet paper in the cubicles, hand soap, spotlessly clean, even oil diffusers to make them smell nice! Showers - Fab. Tap controlled. Plenty of hot water. Spotless. Washing Machines - 3 large machines that take €s not tokens. Proper commercial machines. Site- well laid out. Beautiful views. Pitches - We had a Super Comfort pitch with water, drainage and electricity for ACSI price. Plenty big enough for a 9m caravan. Grass pitch. Restaurant - It was open!!! (Most restaurants had limited opening out of season on our travels!). They have a menu del dia or platos combinados which were reasonably priced. The restaurant and bar were pretty empty so lacked any atmosphere but not their fault! Staff- Could not be nicer or more helpful. Shop - OMG they even had a gluten free section including bread and cereal!!! In addition they sold fresh milk and bread. Yep, well stocked (and open!!!!). Location - Fab fab fab!!! 15 minute walk through their back gate down the lane to a beautiful sandy beach where the dogs could play. Plus there were more bars and restaurants there. We love to run and it is a runners dream. There is a proper path that takes the coast line and you can run safely for miles and miles... it is hilly though!! Would we return? Yes!! Without a doubt!
Staff very helpful. Answered emails very quickly. Nice location. Can accommodate large motorhomes. Would stay again.
Lovely campsite. We arrived late in the evening, late in the season and the staff were great. They spoke good English thankfully. We took a bungalow which was very comfortable and well equipped. Unfortunately the bar/restaurant was only open for one night of our two night stay. It was some of the best food we have eaten in the last six months of being in Europe. Being the end of the season it was nice and quite and a short walk to the lovely beach.
We stayed here to explore Cantabria and Asturias and for that it was good. We were put on a pitch next to the bins luckily they were not smelly. The terrace setup allowed for good views of the Pico de Europa. The toilets were constantly cleaned and as a result always smelled like bleach but for showering with kids not that great as not enough room in the showers to put clothes and towels. The hard football pitch was great for our son to play and make friends and our daughter enjoyed the playground.
