It is full of Germans but so what, all very friendly as were the Dutch, Spanish and Swiss. Restaurant is really good value, service with a smile until she got the order wrong then a bit sulky but I assume that was embarrassment. Sanitaires in good clean condition, nice hot showers. Dog and beach walks 50 m, golf 2km.
That’s the good things, however there was a bang bang festival, only way I can describe it is 10 days of hell with firecrackers, bangers and mortar bombs going off all day and night throughout the region. Not fireworks just bangs and not just kids but adults too standing in groups throwing firecrackers and manically laughing. Beats me why this is entertainment for them, hence would never return to this area.
Great site if you're a German, no really. We stayed here in September 2016, great place to be. We stayed here in March 2017, not so good, surrounded by the entire German population most of which appeared to be unhappy, the beach bar was closed, nothing much to do if the suns not shining. The guy that owns the shop is very happy to serve you and so was the girl who worked in there, you can get most things here inc bread. Would we revisit, yes, but only when the sun is shining.
We came across this site more by accident, but will definitely return, people where friendly, we found a great pitch, no issues.
We came to this site by default and stayed twice for a week whilst travelling along the coast, first mid January and again third week of February. Very enjoyable site with good pitches directly leading to a fabulous long, clean, sandy beach, 40 mins walk on hard sand to Oliva Plage. Facilities were good for us, some heating in one of the shower blocks. Small shop with fresh on site baked bread, and roasted chicken on Sundays. However, you need a car to really appreciate the hinterland and to get to Oliva town. Supermarket in Oliva Nova Golf Resort at about 20 mins walk is very poor and very expensive. Car hire available on site or seek via DoYouSpain.Com. We will come again!
When we arrived, the site was quite busy, there was a long queue at reception and only one person on duty. We found a pitch hard gravel/sand and had to wait a short while for someone to connect the electric. This is a very flat sight with a long sandy beach a the back, the toilets/showers were plenty and clean, we had a problem getting connected to the Wi-Fi but managed it after going back to reception several times, seems even they had a problem. Bar/restaurant was ok, we only stayed the one night as we felt uneasy on this site as did one or two other people that arrived at the same time, although it was very quiet at night.
The description for this camp site says very accessible for caravans and motorhomes. I would dispute this as the roads through the site have large curbs (4 inches) which make manouvering very difficult. We stayed there for two nights in our fifth wheeler and I would not recommend it for anyone else with a similar rig. It took me over an hour to get off my pitch and away from the site.
A family run campsite with good restaurant and on site supermarket. Hot chickens/pizza can be ordered fom the supermarket for Sunday lunch. Across the dunes from the sea with beautiful sandy beaches, ideal for walking and swimming. Coastal areas easy to visit; village of Oliva and Oliva Nova within walking distance. Suitable for long or short stays.
