This is a municipal camping about 2 miles from the centre of Caceres. The facilities on the campsite are very good, each pitch has its own very clean wet room, with toilet, basin and shower, with plenty of hot water. There is also water on every pitch. Some of the pitches were too small for our twin axle caravan but we were allowed to choose another and we chose a corner pitch at the top of the campsite which was very spacious, quiet and had some shade from oak trees. The ground was too hard to erect an awning but the weather was very good so we didn\'t really need it, also some of the pitches have a canopy provided. The location of the camping isn\'t very picturesque, being just off the main road into Caceres, next to a football stadium, so there is some road noise and no nice view. It\'s advantage is that there is a very nice pool and a regular bus service into Caceres, a town well worth a visit, the medieval city is stunning. There is also a nature park close by which is notable for its bird population. If you are happy to put up with the lack of a view in exchange for camping with good amenities, including free WIFI across the site, then this is a good site to stay on. We stayed 8 nights, it was good value with our ASCI card because 2 nights were free.
Second visit to this site which is ideally situated for the north south routes, this is a spacious site with pitches of a good size, the pool area is a real bonus with a large grass area and the restaurant overlooking the area, very nice. Out of the camp and across the road is a large commercial area which has it mandatory China emporium selling everything. Also along the road to the left outside the site will take you into town where there are a number of supermarkets, parking may be a problem unless you use the Dia supermarket which unfortunately lives up to its name.
Most of the pros and con have already been raised in previous reviews. The private washroom was very welcome. Shower, basin and toilet all good, but poor drainage to the shower. We had a reasonable size pitch at the top of the site, but the ground was very poor - stony and with dry spikey grass /seed heads. Our first allocated pitch was unacceptable but we were given another pitch without a problem. We were not offered one of the pitches with canopies. Restaurant was good with very generous portions - you won\'t go away hungry. The drinks from the bar were rather expensive. The swimming pool area was lovely - full size swimming pool with lush and green surroundings. It is also open to the public so could get busy. Dog walking is limited but acceptable,
Flat pitches mostly with sandy gravel. Didn\'t realise higher ones had grass till too late. Strange situation ...opposite an industrial site and next to a huge stadium. But...Free wifi across site, restaurant was reasonable for price, bus to old town handy...just a walk across a bridge. Rode bikes to supermarket even though site told us there was no cycle track we spotted it from the bus!!
We loved having our own private bathroom on our pitch - all spotlessly clean and lots of hot water. The pitch was very hard and a bit stony for a tent but was flat and a good side with a canopy for shade. The location is excellent for visiting Caceres and there are plenty of shopping options nearby.
Not the most attractive site or setting , but convenient for the lovely town of Caceres or as a stopover. Liked the individual toilet / shower facilities. Restaurant was OK, but would recommend making the effort to eat in Caceres. Don\'t miss nearby Trujillo.
Very clean campsite. Very helpful staff. Nice pitches. Own bathroom, very hot water. Good cheap bus service into town.
This is a very \'organised\' campsite with pitches lined up like soldiers on parade. Each pitch has its own private toilet facility and they are all strictly aligned which makes everything look the same, so that I felt more like a battery hen than a holiday camper. Since I am a solo motorbike traveler I asked the girl at reception if I could pitch my tent on the field at the back instead, under a tree. She was a bit unsure but allowed it, I still paid for my official pitch so could use the (excellent) facilities. The pool is good and very welcome on a hot summer day. The restaurant is acceptable. The area is worth a visit.
we found this campsite perfect for us ,and would definately return here the pitches were not very big we have a 7.20 m motorhome and it was fine but anything much bigger would be a bit tight .
This was a great experience of luxury caravanning and we stayed a couple of days more than we had planned. We especially enjoyed having our own private toilet/wet-room at the side of our pitch, plus the shading stretched across almost the whole pitch. The pitches are pretty much level as each is cut into the gently sloping hillside. We enjoyed just sitting around on our pitch and I\'m sorry we didn\'t try out the bar, restaurant or pool, all of which were very attractive.
