I believe that I was the only Irish or British camper here.
The staff were all very friendly and allowed me to practice my Dutch whilst helping me out in English when I couldn’t quite make it.
The reception was very efficient and helpful on arrival, I was provided with a print out map showing all the pitches currently vacant and was told to have a walk around and choose a pitch. The pitches are all of a very good size with electricity, water and drainage on each pitch.
There is basic WiFi available free of charge but for streaming there is a premium WiFi available at a charge, the speed is very good and more than sufficient for streaming. The restaurant is very modern with a good choice of menu, I am 3 nights into a 6 night stay and I have held dinner in the restaurant twice, both of which I have been very happy with.
I have found the other campers mostly Dutch and a few German to be very friendly indeed and although I am here alone I have always found someone to chat to and even have dinner with.
The local area turned out to be full of varied and interesting attractions.
I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending this site.
Great site. Pitches have own water and drainage and are well spaced apart. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Restaurant very nice. Lots to do for the children. Lake is an added bonus even just to walk around. Toilets are immaculate! We were the only English on the site which was quite a delight. Easy cycling into Bladel where there are plenty of shops and a supermarket. Surrounding area is awash with cycle paths.
We were quite a novelty being the only Brits that had visited all season! Very friendly site. We visited just a couple of weeks before they were due to start closing down for the end of the season so some things were limited, for example the selection of goods in the shop and the shop and bar opening times. The unisex shower/toilet blocks were superb with underfloor heating. There was one occasion when the boiler must have been faulty and there was no hot water but it was soon sorted. We did "trip" the electric hook up a couple of times because it is only 4 amps but it wasn't a problem as the switch was easily accessible. The pitches were a good size as most of the other vans seemed to be seasonal pitches and had both awnings and large canopies as well. All in all we had a great time, used the pool a couple of times, walked down to the bar EVERY evening for a "Grimbergen" or two! We had a meal at the restaurant and can thoroughly recommend the site and the area. Thank you.
