You know a site is “excellent” when you plan to stay for 2 nights and end up staying 6! A small but friendly site
From the moment we arrived the reception staff could not have been more helpful (thanks especially to Stefano).
The site is terraced and the pitches are shaded, not always the most level but once in you feel at home. Excellent swimming pool, excellent cafe / restaurant.
Showers / toilets etc were always clean, water warm and good water pressure.
A nice (uphill) walk, 15 minutes to the lovely town with bars, shops, panoramic tower. Would especially recommend La Dolce Vigna - local wine, home cooking and welcoming.
An easy 10 minute cycle ride to the supermarket in the next town along.
Would also recommend the wine tasting at Durio wines nearby.
Beware Italian school holidays, 3 months from mid June, pool is open to the public so it is very busy and noisy (hence my low rating for the pool, it would be 4* out os school holidays) Only 2 showers for women. Very helpful staff. We will return here but not in school holiday time.
In May the site was quite busy and the pitches a little small, not a problem for us in a small camper-van.
The walk to Agliano Terme is worthwhile with fantastic views across to the Alps from the tower at the top of the town. The staff had a series of maps with marked walks through the vineyards which we enjoyed. The onsite pizzeria was excellent with both indoor and outdoor dining available. The pizzas from the wood-fired pizza oven were superb as was the Berbera D \'Asti from the wine list.
A nice site by Italian standards (in our experience). Pitches are small certainly and when the site is busy you\'re very close to your neighbour. In mid May there was plenty of space. Pitches are nicely terraced and (in May) grassy. Tasty pizzas at the nice bar area. Staff are superb! Sanitary facilities were very clean and water was piping hot. The only downside is that there are not enough of them if the site is half full or more. We had no trouble in May but beware in peak season. With this in mind we would certainly return.
Superb welcome, very friendly young, multilingual girl, and more than helpful. We arrived today in the pouring rain and because the pitches are grass and terraced we are placed in a concrete parking area which is ideal for our camper, a sensible suggestion, and overlooks the pool, which appears well maintained and inviting.
The toilets and showers are spotless and appear to have been recently retiled. The shower water is piping hot and there is separate space for clothes, well screened from the wet area, and, additionally and has, unusually, a good sized shelf for shampoo etc. There are two hair dryers, soap, toilet paper and paper towels. No one seems to have noticed the cooking facilities, which is a boon to us on a wet day ! The indoor washing up area has gas hobs and a large stainless steel work surface/preparation area available free of charge to clients, plus a fridge freezer. The large outside bar area, which, although open seasonally, has tables and chairs which can be used off season, (not all stacked in a corner ! )additional comfortable seating and is under cover. We wouldn\'t hesitate to recommend this site.
Really disappointed with this site after reading previous reviews. Swimming pool opened up to the public & dominated by children - noisy & sometimes uncontrolled. Showers few in number (2 per gender!) needing cleaning and updating. Restaurant menu very limited. Site is tiered meaning most pitches need high levelling ramps. Some tight to get into & parked in rows of five. Not much in walking distance other than the local winery. Nice scenery & lovely staff. 6a power & water close by. Chem toilet disposal is a drain pipe that you take the cap off. ACSI rates end early June meaning this site can be expensive if you stay beyond. Touring through Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia & Italy - by far the worst ACSI site we stayed at
Two night stay. Very peaceful, only occasional tractor or car going past. Lovely views over countryside. Terraced grassed pitches under trees. Pool was good although cold. Small village above campsite has a small supermarket, a café, butcher and deli. Nearby Nizzi Monferrato has an antique market 3rd Sunday of the month (not sure over summer months).
Nice site. Good facilities including cooking.
Well cleaned bathrooms with great hot showers.
Staff super helpful.
Surroundings just awesome and will located to Asti & Alba.
Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
This is a nice site for a few nights stay. The sanitary facilities are a little old but functional and clean. A very good swimming pool. The pitches are arranged on terraces and spacious enough. The staff are very helpful. The week we visited the restaurant was closed.
Comfortable, tiered campsite in beautiful countryside, with ample space for our campervan. Busy over the weekend but quieter afterwards. Friendly, helpful staff; good wifi at bar/reception area; bar and pizzeria open; lovely full-sized swimming pool (unheated). Sanitary area a bit small when site was busy and although could be cleaner, had plenty of hot water, toilet seats and toilet paper. Hotel restaurant and spa nearby, with half an hours walk into Agliano Terme. Great wine and food festival while we were there. No easy transport links to Asti. Stayed 4 nights and would certainly recommend.
