Lovely quiet site. There is a main area in the centre and other areas off this area. You can order bread & rolls in reception that has a small shop. There is a bar above reception. Owner is very helpful, we were able to stay on over a Bank Holiday as we had not booked the next site and owner explained we could have a problem with no booking. You can walk to the lake from the site.

Travelling party: Seniors

Stayed here for 12 nights and loved the site. We had a spacious & level pitch although a long electrical lead was needed. The owners couldn't have been more friendly & helpful and we really enjoyed our stay. We were there to see places on the Grimm Fairy Tales Route and there were some lovely places to visit. We particularly liked Duderstadt. The nearby lake has a good swimming area but there is no direct entrance from the site. There was a gate near us at the back of the site but this was permanently locked - a pity as it would have shortened the walk to the lake. Site restaurant was fairly basic but offered good value. We actually celebrated our Golden Wedding while on this site and had a lovely meal at the restaurant overlooking the lake. Toilet facilities were excellent and needed a card key to enter. The owners think they may have to change this system as they were running out of cards. A small bakery & shop nearby but supermarkets a short drive away. Highly recommended.

Stopped for one night on the way north. Great site and suitable for a longer stay. Nice facilities and very helpfull staff. Good access to motorway
