There was plenty of shade on site. Some pitches were divided by hedges and some weren\\\'t.
The showers were hot and it was quiet at night.
Fifteen minutes\\\' walk into Vallon-Pont d\\\'Arc.
Would we stay again? Only as a stopover.
Great for visiting the Gorge
Nice town- both Vallon-Pont-d’Arc and Salavas - able to give Bonnie a walk off the lead on the beach
Beautiful campsite well maintained Toilet and wash facilities are the cleanest I’ve ever seen and it has a doggy shower for those with animals. Pitch right on the river close to toilet block. You can go on canoes from here or just paddle and swim if you want
We came across this site by accident as it was supposed to be shut but noticed a couple of camper-vans parked up we therefore enquirer at the reception and was welcomed with a big smile and was welcomed in we stayed for five nights and could of stayed for five weeks unfortunately the site was shutting the toilets very good plenty of hot water in the showers great sized plots caint fault this site will be coming back for sure
A superb site with good sized private hedged pitches, shaded or semi- shaded. Moho facilities not great but adequate. Professional and helpful owners. Excellent value. Nice walks and river activities and close to the lovely town of Vallon and old village of Salavas. One of our favourites.
We came to the campsite without really knowing the Ardeche and intended to only stay a week or two. We ended up staying for 5 weeks!
Wow, we thought the Tarn and the Lot were outstandingly beautiful, but this area is totally unique. Absolutely exquisite with so much to see and do, so that in itself is why you should come to this region.
As for the campsite, well on first arrival we weren't 100% sure about it, but we fell in love with it. Its location was absolutely perfect. We are in a big outfit, large caravan and estate car, and there were plenty of large sites to accomodate us which is great as we have to seal off an area around the awning to allow our cat to roam around - yes she is unusal in that she can't jump, though tries to escape through other means!
There are two shower blocks, one more modern than the other. The modern one has only two toilets and about 4 showers, where is the older block has a lot more facilities, but a little tired looking. Water wasn't hugely warm which was ok because of the time of year we were here.
There is a bar/pizza restaurant managed by a lovely husband and wife team, and two gorgeous young sons who race around the campsite on their bikes eager to learn English!
The campsite is managed by Pierre who is German but lived in France for 30 years. So she speaks French, German and English and currently learning Dutch. She is amazing and a total credit to the campsite, full of local knowledge and will help you anyway she can.
Very sadly, the groundsman suddenly passed away at the site whilst we were there. So incredibly sad. He was a lovely man, always similing and always willing to help. RIP Tony.
Highly recommended campsite.
