Good site in great location. Positives: Pool heated with plenty of sun loungers. Supermarket very close. Not far to walk into La Flotte. Plenty of cycle paths. Helpful and friendly staff. Negatives: No soap in toilet area. (Disinfectant and hand gel available). Pitches tired, but ok sizes. We experienced a lot of noise from the rugby club one Saturday night. But were reassured that this is a very rare occurrence. Beautiful weather, stayed 3 weeks. Would return.

Fab site within walking distance to La Flotte one way and a large supermarket the other. We could happily stay a week or more. The swimming pool is clean and a good size for a swim. Facilities were plentiful and clean. The cafe was closed whilst we were here so can’t comment. La Flotte is lovely with many restaurants around the harbour.

Excellent well located campsite. Close to lovely village La Flotte with its quaint narrow streets and numerous eateries and drinkeries. 100 m from bus stop to La Rochelle (€5.00 return great value). Especially good are cycling possibilities. Everywhere is accessible on the bike. Will definitely return and would strongly recommend.

We chose this site because of its location and enjoyed the easy access to the cycle paths and the lovely village of La Flotte. The woodland area is ideal for dog walking but beware the access gate is locked around 7pm each evening (with no notice on the gate) so after that time you have to find your way back to the site entrance via an adjacent residential area. Our allocated pitch was right at the extreme end of the site on the far side of the sports ground so a fair walk to either the entrance or woodland gate.which was somewhat inconvenient for the urgent first trip out with the dog in the morning and the last thing at night one. A gate at the far end of the site with access controlled by a code would be a welcome addition. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay and would happily revisit.

Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The site was an odd shape around three sides of a rugby pitch. Toilet block was semi-final on-air ! Can\'t imagine what it would be like in colder weather. No water or drainage on pitches. Only stayed two nights and moved further south to find warmer weather. Ile-de-Re seems quite good for cycling, although we did not stay long enough to find out. Probably would not return.

We have really enjoyed our stay at Camping Le Bel Air. Staff are pleasant, showers & toilets clean and pitches of a reasonable size. It\'s only a 15 minute walk into the delightful harbourside town of La Flotte with its lovely shops & eateries or a short bike/car ride to Saint Martin, equally delightful. There is a good dog walk in woods next to the site and a good supermarket 10 minutes walk from the site. The beaches on the south & west of the island, a few kilometers away, are fantastic.

A large site surrounding a rugby ground. Pitches a bit tired - that’s at the beginning of the season but of good size. Toilet blocks a bit dated but clean. Good WiFi across the site. Good position for cycling that part of the island - we did st martins, La Flotte-en-Ré and the abbey. La Flotte-en-Ré a very picturesque town and port well worth a visit. Overall a good site.

Always stay here for a few days each year. Now added to ACSI, makes it even better (lower price).
Convenient for: -Bus trips to La Rochelle and around the Island. Easy walk to a lovely harbour and restaurants in La Flotte. Large shopping area 200 metres behind the site (through pine forest). Very relaxed clean site and happy staff.
