An excellent site, friendly efficient reception staff, speaking four languages, this site has a wonderful atmosphere, the toilets are keep perfectly clean. A short walk to the beach and restaurants, the site has a restaurant but have not tried it. I would not hesitate to return.
Arrived by chance before fully opened for the high season, but everything was absolutely first class, the weather was perfect as was the swimming pool and campsite, we stayed a few more days, our batteries well and truly recharged. Will definitely return.
Beautiful campsite. We visited in our campervan in May 2018 and were given a very warm welcome. We were given a choice of sites. The Campsite is located on the outskirts of Chatelaillon-Plage, just a 20 minute walk into the town which had lots of cafes/restaurants and lovely beach. There are also a couple of Cafes just beside the campsite
The facilities on site were very good with a small shop with freshly baked bread and all the basics, The toilets and showers were extremely clean, as were the Disabled Facilities. The team on site spoke very good English.
I will definitely return when we next visit the area.
Arrived here by chance. We were not booked in. Fabulous multilingual welcome. Wonderful facilities. Bread and pastries made on the premises - just the best. Options are good- cycle to La Rochelle, trips to the islands, visit the local street market etc. A superb site. Recommended.
Stayed here May 2017 when all facilities were not open and we thought it was excellent but now all facilities open and it's even better. We cycled from the site to La Rochelle and Faros, and there are other routes too. The works outside the site are almost complete and there are now 3 restaurants and one cafe within walking distance. Excellent site for motorhomers. It is worth booking ahead as they were turning people away this time. Didn't use the sports facilities or watch the entertainment so cannot comment on them.
Excellent site. Second visit. Busy even in June. Staff excellent and very helpful. Pool looks good but not get time to use same. Bus service to La Rochelle nearby. We had to go to public swimming pool stop as they was major upgrade at normal stop at beach. Very handy. Will return again.
What a site, the reviews say great and all I can do is back them up, the staff were very helpful and friendly on arrival, also when we had a problem with a mobile phone they helped out, the pool was a nice temperature shallow in places but still very good, we can recommend the restaurant we ate there two nights out of three, the pitch we had was only just big enough but we did take the last pitch on a busy hot Friday afternoon, so I would recommend phoning ahead, the toilets were excellent, out side we rode to the local town along the promenade and back and it was lovely and flat, we will be back here again without a dought, but we will book next time..
A delightful site run by a friendly and exceedingly helpful family (who speak perfect English) There are a variety of pitches both in size and the amount of shade provided, they are all grass (kept short) and are edged by immaculate trees or shrubs. Access roads straight and pitches clearly labelled. Toilet facilities (plenty of showers and toilets) all spacious and spotless with plenty of REALLY hot water, my only concern is that the washing up facilities might be stretched a bit at busy times as there are just 6 sinks (plenty of hot water though)
Fabulous heated outdoor pool (28 deg in mid May) surrounded by large tiled area with plenty of sun loungers. Children's play area with slides etc
Large purpose built motorhome service point with central drain so easy to dump grey waste, small shop on site with the essentials such as bread. The bar wasn't open during our stay but, like everything else was immaculately clean.
Barrier access that's closed to traffic at night.
Easy (flat) access into the town and it's simply vast sandy beach, one end very popular with kite surfers. The tide goes out for what seems miles! The harbourfront is currently undergoing serious (and expensive!) refurbishment and will doubtless be delightful when completed.
Easy access to cycle routes and likewise easy car access to Ile De Re (toll which doubles mid June -Sept) and Ile D'Oleron
All in all a delightful campsite that the owners have put a huge amount of work into as it was virtually destroyed in the storms of 2010,
I do not hesitate to recommend it as a simply delightful site to stay on, its well worth it!
Great campsite. Flat and immaculate with lots of clean facilities. Great rides along the coast that are all flat. Bus stop for La Rochelle just outside campsite. Staff absolutely fab.
This site is very well run Staff are all brilliant and friendly The area is lovely seafood available everywhere Pitches are a good size and well maintained
