The campsite is located along the River Ancre and by several well-stocked fishing lakes. There is a free practice range for golf with 5 holes next to the site. The area around Albert formed the front line during the Battle of the Somme in 1916. The many graveyards and monuments are a silent witnesses to this. A visit to the cozy historic centre of Albert is recommended.

Close to WW1 stuff and Albert but showers/toilets need a complete overhaul & previous review said worst I’ve ever seen

Travelling party: Couple

The location of the site is perfect for doing the war stuff. However, the toilet facilities at this site were the worse we have ever seen. They need cleaning. I cannot comment on child friendliness or the sports facilities.
