The campsite is located along the River Ancre and by several well-stocked fishing lakes. There is a free practice range for golf with 5 holes next to the site. The area around Albert formed the front line during the attacks of the Somme in 1916. The many graveyards and monuments are a silent witnesses to this. A visit to the welcoming historic centre of Albert is recommended. Special area for motorhomes.

Travelling party: Seniors
Excellent well laid out site with marked pitches, most are comfort plots with water and waste water connections. Good Freesat TV. I\'ve always found it very peaceful, some train noise but nothing to speak of.

good site lady in reception spoke a little English. The toilet bins had not been emptied for the four days we were there, on lifting the lid I nearly throw up with the smell, showers had tepid water and the drains badly needed cleaning. lovely lakes and walks all around the site. Would stay again IF toilet and shower block had a good overhaul.Would pay a few more euros for better facilities

Found this site after refusing to stay at the one in Peronne. Friendly helpful staff. Short walk into town ample pitch site and good. clean toilet block. Ideal for touring battle grounds or as a stop over to or from Calais. Would stay again

Travelling party: Couple
Lovely site, spacious level plots, staff very helpful and good English spoken. Great location for visiting WW1 memorials, 15 minute walk to centre of Albert, 2 minutes by car and plenty of free parking. Lovely walk around adjacent lakes. Toilet facilities much as you would expect on a French camp site but spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend.

Second time we have stayed here so we knew what to expect. Showers had been improved but only by fitting a new cubicle around the old shower. Pitches good for our TA some fully serviced. Access quite good. Good for visits to WW1 museum and battle sites.

Travelling party: Couple
This is an adequate site, and although the showers had been updated since our last visit it had clearly been done on the cheap! Not really any better. Easy access for our TA and some good sized pitches. Ideal for visiting the WW 1 museum and local battle sites. Lovely public park next to the site with walking and cycling opportunities. Fishing also possible. Some pitches fully serviced.
Paul Bottrill, on this campsite in July 2016
Travelling party: Couple
Nice site within walking distance of Albert. Very close to the Somme battlefields and memorials. Pitches quite large. Showers ok but need some work, although clean.
