5 star no way toilet facilities inadequate and smelly. Pitches sloping and water pressure a joke. Just as well I came with half a tank. 7 weeks touring and this is the worst site Ive been on.
Very disappointed with this site given other reviews. Whilst the sanitary facilities are modern/clean they are totally inadequate for the number of people using the site. For some bizarre reason the vanity basins are in with the shower so someone using the basin stops anyone wanting a shower. In the block near us there were two toilets, one for disabled, two showers/vanity basins and a further shower for the disabled. You also pay a hefty price presumably for being near the city.
Very large site with friendly staff. Toilet facilities were inadequate for the quantity of campers. Only 2 toilets in a block for the ladies. ( same for the men). Good cheap transport to get into Nantes. All day public transport ticket for 4 was a bargain.
As others have said, this is an excellent location from which to visit Nantes. However, when it is fairly busy there are nowhere near enough toilets or showers, and the sanitary facilities, while modern, are quite smelly.
First class site with excellent staff. Great to visit Nantes, only €8 (buy in reception) for 24 hour transport that's tram, bus and boat. Easy to pick up tram at site entrance. No pool, but free token from reception for pool opposite. Did not use restauarant as closed for a few days. Some pitches became very muddy during heavy rain and motorhomes needed a tow off. Suggest ask for hard standing sites, but as a very busy site you may have to arrive very early for choice.
Well positioned for the city. Brilliant transport possibilities, including bus & bicycle. The surrounding forest adds to the opportunities.
Staff were very helpful.
Great location, within a 10 minute tram ride of Nantes city centre. Toilet and shower facilities good, though not really enough of them for a full site. Restaurant was good, better than the average camp site restaurant. Reception staff very helpful.
A well run and busy campsite run by the town council. Pitches are not the largest but are well laid out . The town is accessed by tram just outside the site. Of most importance- the site is on the north side of the city so to get there from the south of the city take the ring road and enter from the north. Our Sat Nav took us through the city- a big mistake. There is a restaurant on site who will sell bread in the mornings. Toilet blocks are clean if a little cramped. Plan to arrive by mid afternoon as the site filled up rapidly.
Stayed for one night as a stopover. Great for visiting Nantes. Pitches ok and various sizes. Free Wifi throughout site. Didnt use any facilities so can\'t comment. Would use site again.
Excellent site for visiting Nantes, tram stop just outside site every couple of minutes. Site clean and tidy, staff very helpful. Quiet surroundings even though just off a main road. We arrived at noon on the day of the carnival in town. Staff informed us about it and gave information on how to get to the centre, it was brilliant. Sanitary facilities very clean, showers more like wet rooms. Nantes pass available from tourist information in city but beware, some museums not open when they said and others not so interesting. Take a free look at the mechanical elephant but unless your are an engineer or highly interested in machines, don\'t bother with the Gallery of machines, a bit of a rip off.
