An outstanding campsite. The staff where amazing helpful and couldn't do enough for everyone. Alway smiling. Well done :)
This site is ideally located for visiting Nantes, a very vibrant city with plenty to see and do. The reception staff were very helpful, supplying a free map of the town and offering advice on transport, attractions etc. It is possible to buy a public transport pass from the site reception which is valid for up to four people for 24hrs and is worthwhile even for a couple. As well as trams and buses the pass covers the pleasant ferry ride across to the quaint fishing village of Trentemoult, worth the cost in itself.
When approaching the site use the instructions in the guide as they avoid central Nantes and the entrance is literally on the roundabout. This site is one of the best we have ever stayed at. The pitches are of a good size with 16amp elec, water and waste. The toilet and laundry facilites are outstanding. The grounds are beautiful, many of the trees labeled. The staff are fantastic and very helpful. There is a tram stop outside the site and a local Spar and boulangerie. Nantes itself is a fantastic City with so much to see and do. Disabled facilities on the site are brilliant and Nantes is so well set up for wheelchair users it's incredible. The Castle of the Dukes of Brittany museum and ramparts are all accessible and so worth visiting. The Great Elephant, Carousel and the Galerie des Machines are undescribable. We will be going back there is so much to see. For motorhomers it is difficult to beat this site due to the transport facilities and the site facilities.
Excellent site for visiting Nantes. Tram stop outside site to take you into the centre. Sanitary facilities spotless and heated. Staff very helpful.
Good for visiting Nantes town by public transport, tram stops nearly outside site and you can get to all parts of town from here. Facilities excellent & kept clean, motorvans on hard standings, well laid out grounds with plenty of trees & bushes. No shop on site in september but there is a bakers and small spar shop short walk away just past tram. Staff excellent speak good English and ready to give tourist information.
Must stress to use ring road, entrance may have moved as Bld Petit Port not on SatNav and drive thru centre of Nantes was interesting!!
Lovely site in a wooded valley. Close to the center of Nantes which is a wonderful city.
Tram stop outside of campsite and bicycle friendly roads.
Lovely wooded setting with easy access to Nantes' many attractions by tram or cycle.
Mini-supermarket nearby. Very helpful staff in reception.
We stayed 1 week in early July and were very happy.
Well positioned for the city. Brilliant transport possibilities, including bus & bicycle. The surrounding forest adds to the opportunities.
Staff were very helpful.
Excellent and clean. Entrance is actually on the roundabout and easy to miss. Ask reception for tram ticket. Don't miss the machines museum. Gents bring traditional trunks for pool as no shorts allowed. Don't miss bouffay area particularly for the buzz and great eating
While it's not that easy to find, this campsite is worth finding if your looking for a day or 2 in Nantes either before our after your visit to the Loire Valley. The staff member who we spoke to had good language skills and great knowledge of the local area.
Facilities are excellent, the location is close to the city center, the tram service is regular, although it's relatively expensive it's worth it in my opinion.
