Stayed overnight on our way back to the UK , arrived before 3pm and was met by a not very friendly owner because we were to early (2pm) was told. We couldn\'t use the shower block after 7pm, the shower block was very cold but clean.

Site location excellent for the tunnel/ferries. Sanitary facilities basic but clean. Ran out of toilet paper & soap (last few days of season! But surely soap bag & toilet rolls can be taken out as easy as putting in!) Plus only sanitary block open was quite a trek from pitch! WiFi free but only for 1 device! Cant understand that!
Ideal for catching bus into Calais centre or up to Cité Europe

A perfect site for that stopover into France or home to England. Toilet facilities are good, hot showers, hairdryer and plenty of space to keep your clothes dry. Dominique on reception is lovely and made us very welcome. The beach is very close and a beautiful place to walk. There’s a local bar in the town and a few restaurants that looked good. Calais is just 10 minutes away and close by the campsite is an Auchen supermarket. Definitely recommended.

Stayed for one night in early September having just arrived via the tunnel. Good campsite with very acceptable indoor shower block - good for a stopover but probably wouldn\'t want to spend more than one night as there didn\'t seem to be much to do. Van turned up at approx 9:30am selling bread and croissants. Pitches were fairly open with little to demarcate them.

Close to the tunnel so used as a stopover. Nice walk to the village bought bread from bakers it was lovely. Walked along the promenade. The restaurant and bar were not open , we would definitely use again,

Easy access and pitching. Particularly friendly and helpful reception. Site looks clean and tidy especially for this late in season. Toilet and shower block immaculate but water needed to be hotter ( set temperature) and push button action ridiculously brief. No apparent heating in block we used so will be very cold towards end of October I suspect!

Very good site for overnight stop when using the tunnel which is only 10minutes away. Staff very helpful although closed for lunch but will come out and allocate pitch on arrival. Nice bracing walk on the English channel. Good shopping locally and Dunkirk worth a visit.

Stayed here as an overnight stop before heading through the tunnel. We were a bit worried after reading the reviews about the ducks, but. Although they were noisy through the day they quietened down at night. Large grassy pitches, close to the beach, would definitely return.

OK for an overnight ferry / tunnel stay. Good facilities but annoying 5 second shower buttons and based on notices showers are closed during the daytime in summer. They have pitches for Motorhomes with a couple of slabs positioned for the driving wheels - trouble is they are not level which make getting the other axle on the ramps tricky. The site is in an excellent location for the beach and Sangatte is now a very pleasant town.

I am truly amazed at the improvements this site has made since my last visit in 2015.
Super large pitches, great sanitaire upgrade, full Euro electric hook ups with loads of amps. Exceptionally well kept site overall.
Great welcome on arrival and so helpful.
Tunnel or port this is well placed for quick and easy access to both.
Big improvements to the promenade and beaches with only 200 metres walk to the beach and the Canadian D Day memorial.
Wholeheartedly recommended
