Travelling party: Couple

Lovely site, half an hour from Cherbourg. Hedged marked out grassy pitches. Unisex toilet blocks with toilet paper hand soap and hand driers. Separate shower block with push button showers. Both blocks were cleaned frequently and well maintained. Nice outdoor pool too. There was a netto within 2 km and a large Intermarche at about 4km. Short walk to the harbour and town. Lovely area with the Utah beaches nearby.

stayed here 3rd and 4th june easy to get to from port, really nice welcome by the hosts, toilet/ shower blocks in the middle pretty much open air(gaps above and below door) but better ones by reception but we used them fine.didnt use much in the way of facilities but pitch nice and large and water and electric at hand, had a wandee and found a super little town nice shops and restaraunts, right on the sea and harbour, great sights and cycle/walking routes nearby. definately be back.

DONT PASS THIS PLACE BY , EXCELLENT...... 30 minutes from Cherbourg ferry ideal place to rest after crossing or use it as a short drive to the return one . The fishing village itself is so worth the visit , working fishing boats , go and watch the day catch , also there\'s miles of Oyster beds , at low tide it\'s a hive of activity , the village also has a busy yacht marina as well as an active ship salvage yard .
So in a nutshell I\'m raving about this place , so much to see , cycling , walking , historic sites , amazing very realistic places to eat their fresh fish , and the campsite is an excellent standard , we will be back And will recommend this campsite to my friends well done \'la Galloutte

A very good site. When we arrived we were met by a very friendly, pleasant lady at reception. She spoke very good English and was able to tell us about the local attractions with enthusiasm. She mentioned a shop we should visit and it was amazing. It is called Maison Gosselin and is a shop/grocery with a fantastic range of products and foods. Nice quiet site and you can easily walk into town. Boat trips etc. We will definitely return

This was our fourth stay at La Gallouette and it will not be our last. The site is flat and the pitches are large. This is important for us because we have a very large tent and a big car.
The WCs, showers and other facilities are cleaned four times a day and are spotless, even during bad weather (always a possibility in Normandy!). There is a good pool and an excellent play area for children. The café provides simple meals at a good price and bread and pastries are delivered every day – if ordered the day before.
The site is a short walk from town, which has some good restaurants and bars.

Travelling party: Seniors

Very nice site, level pitchs. Toilet and showers facilities very clean. Within easy walking distance of the village and harbour with nice restaurants. Lovely walks to vie Tahiti island and the fort. Very convienent for anyone travelling to/from Cherbourg. We'll stay here again.
