Over the past 40 years (yes, 40!) we have seen this site grow from camping on a farm in an orchard (which is still there) to the very different site it is today. We first visited as a young couple, then with young children etc. We still love going there. Visited four times this year! We love the area, the walks, kayaking etc. The site is now owned and run very efficiently by the grand daughter of the owner who ran it in the 1970\'s. The swimming pool is amazing! The local village (Arradon) is only about 15 mins away. Good bakers, Super U, cafe, restaurants etc. A longer walk to the village takes you alongside the shores of the Gulf.
I am sure we will be back next year.
Stayed here for 4 nights, a lovely site with grass pitches where you will need levelling blocks. Whilst I have rated the site highly there are a few concerns, the showers are lovely but the toilets, washing up area are in 2 separate blocks and there is little or no lighting on the roads at night. The facilities are unisex. If you are happy with my concerns then the site is ideal. The nearby beach is very stoney and small. It is mainly a boating area. The walks from the site are good. The 2 girls in reception could not do enough for us, they were closed when we arrived but the let us in early so we could pitch. One spoke good English and provided us with information on the surrounding area. When we were there, for washing up, the only area open was the top one near to reception the lower one only had cold water. If you use satellite TV then pitch selection is critical owing to the trees. Walk into town about 15 minutes where there was a small market on Friday.Walk to the Super U supermarket will take 30 minutes uphill there, downhill on the way back!! In short, a quiet relaxing site, Arradon a small quiet town with lovely surrounding walks.
Lovely site with good sized pitches, many with shade, although a number were sloping. Brilliant new shower/ toilet block and indoor pool. Lovely outdoor pool also which was rather cool at the beginning of June. 10 minute walk to the waters edge and walks along the shore of the Gulf. 5 minutes by car into Arradon where there is a large supermarket.
Receptionist was friendly and spoke good English. More water points nearer the pitches would be appreciated.
A very spacious site 600 metres from the Golfe du Morbihan where there are excellent coastal walks. Many of the pitches are quite large with a choice of sun or shade. Toilet block a little tired but a new block is being built for next season. It was low season when we were there so no bread or shop. Would definitely return.
This is a delightful rural campsite close to the Gulf and only a short walk from the village of Arradon (food shops, market, cafe and restaurants). We have been coming here for over 30 years - sometimes only for a couple of nights, sometimes a couple of weeks. Pitches are generous, some in an old orchard with lots of shade, others more open. The owner and other staff are always friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is excellent. There is a small shop selling essentials including bread, croissants etc in the high season. The showers and other facilities are reasonably modern, clean with plenty of hot water. It is quiet at night. There are lots of walks from the site around the Gulf and into the village. Kayaks can be hired from just down the lane. Vannes, only a few miles away, is a vibrant city with lots going on. Only a couple of hours easy drive from Roscoff. We shall return!
