    Split as good as Dubrovnik but without the cruse ship crowds

    Travelling party: Couple

    Pleasant site between road and sea. Some plots at far end of the site are close to a busy road and thus noisy. The pitches in the middle of the site were not too noisy. The pitches close to the sea were all reserved, but nowhere is a long walk from the sea and those away from the edge are more shaded and less vulnerable to the wind. The toilet facilities are fine, though when we were there not that warm as they are open to the elements: would be fine when the weather is warm! Everything is kept clean.
    The wifi was available throughout the site, but very slow to the point of not being usable.

    The big plus is that there is a bus stop outside the camp to get into Split; the bus journey took about 30 minutes and got very full by the end of the trip.

    We stayed at this site for 2 nights to visit Split. The site was very full but facilities always remained good. Our pitch was comfortable and pleasantly shady. Staff were friendly and helpful.

    Travelling party: Couple

    Last night of 18 nights here before heading off north again. This campsite is really excellent. The pitches have a choice of sun & shade & are large with water & waste almost on every pitch or adjacent one. The facilities are cleaned all day long & the restaurant is good. The staff are helpful and engaging. Split is easy to reach by bus. Cycling is not really safe on the roads & the only off road path runs along side the adjacent river. The local area is nice with plenty of places to eat, Kash grill recommended, and there is a tourist info kiosk close by. Plenty of small supermarkets within walking distance & bakeries including on site. You can do organised travel tours here with ease if you wished. The new pool opened last week & wellness centre is ongoing. Very busy site at this time with many Camping overnight on cad park awaiting daily departures. Really enjoyed the relaxing here.

    Our first problem was finding the site,very poor signage,we saw other people with the same problem. The pitches are mostly a good size with varying shade,the pitch we were allocated unfortunately had a hydrant and electric box in strange places,but still left a decent sized pitch for our 8 MTV caravan. Our daughter is disabled and there is only one shower block with disabled facilities.All pitches have drainage and water,the supermarket is well stocked even though it is small. Excellent for visiting split,we didn't use the bus as reception didn't know if it was accessible. Only used the restaurant for drinks,we were going to have a pizza one Sunday,but we're told it would be a 2 hr wait,needless to say we didn't order. There are several restaurants and bars within walking distance. Overall we would use this site again,mainly because of its proximity to split.

    The only reason for staying here is its proximity to Split. If you don't mind camping next to a busy and noisy building site, with their vehicles going in and out of the same entrance as the campsite, then stay here.
