Large commercial site,
Silly check inn, you have to walk around big site to look for pitches and go back to reception. If lots of people at same time note 3 or 4 as our first two choices had gone by the time we got back.
Also only ONE tap to fill motorhome with water for 600 pitches
Stayed here for 3 nights in early June. Large commercial site (shops, restaurants, apartments etc). Efficiently run. Wouldn't want to be here in busy high season, but as it was we had a good spacious pitch in a practically empty area at the rear of the site amongst olive trees. As usual the majority of campers seem to want to congregate closer to the beach area. Some toilet blocks did not have hot water when we went, but no problem, you just walk a bit further. Shower / wc facilities adequate but could be stretched at busier times. Food / shopping prices high on site.
Worth a short stay to visit Rovjno which is a bit special. Plus some well signposted cycle tracks that take you around the coast or into the surrounding countryside, although much of them on unmade surfaces.
This campsite looked lovely if somewhat larger than we could have wished for. However, the extremely helpful staff warned us that they had a teenage school party staying with discos running until midnight. Thanks but no thanks. But hats off to the staff for warning us.
We arrived mid afternoon & got a list of 211 pitches to select from. The list is coded e.g. PH = partial shade, etc. Ask what the codes mean it will make it easier to find a pitch right for you. Reception don't volunteer much information on anything so do ask.
This is a large site, very busy (although expected it to be busier at this time of year). Entertainment, pools, restaurant, shop are all good facilities. Lots to do if you wish - table tennis, pool, crazy golf, segways, bike hire, water taxi to Rovinj, etc. The noise does not travel to the back of the site so we slept well!
In my opinion the toilet/shower facilities are not apt for the site. In the block near to us 2 very small cold showers which most mornings you had to wait for. The cleanliness of the toilet/showers was poor which lets a great site down. Heard lots of campers complaining that there was no hot water which we found to be the case.
This is a very large site which is probably very busy in high season, but by late August it was about half-full. The pitches varied a lot in size, shape and amount of shade, and some are rather sloping, but we were able to choose one that suited us, in a quiet area well back from the swimming pool and restaurant where all the entertainment took place.
There is a long sea frontage with a rocky, pebbly beach, nice views and lovely clear water. The camp site has its own jetty where there is a regular ferry service to Rovinj, a beautiful little town, for a reasonable fare.
As you would expect with a site of this size there are all sorts of facilities - bars, restaurants, ice-cream kiosks, sporting facilities, souvenir shops, a hairdresser and a good supermarket.
There are 13 toilet blocks, some reasonable and some very basic, and the standard of cleaning wasn't all that good. Some washing-up sinks have cold water only.
The site is in a lovely area but a little too big for us.
