The location for visiting Pula is fabulous, we walked in one day and got a bus back and cycled in several times. Agree with all the other reviews, make sure you have a 2 pin connector and at least one and a half EHU cables.
The WIFI where we pitched was rubbish.
The toilets and showers are spotless but very basic, showers are good, hot and free but cubicle is very small, take a bag to keep your clothes dry. ACSI designated pitch are uneven and rocky and you need a long power cable. If you are stopping for one or two nights to visit the town it’s fine, bus stop outside the gate. Bars and restaurants on site are good value with live music. The only good point about the ACSI pitches is that you get some shade, other pitches are flat and nicely laid out but lack any shade also more expensive, don’t forget that unless you are on a “ deal” there is a charge on top of the pitch fee.
Our first visit to this site 3km from Pula with regular bus service from just outside site. Pebble beach and suitable shoes helpful. Lifeguard on beach area we used. Whole site on a peninsula so options for beaches vary as do pitches, with or without shade. Sanitary facilities ok but possibly will struggle in July/August. Showers compact with no separate area for dry clothes. Enjoyed our stay and would return. On that basis, happy to recommend. Cannot comment on accommodation, child friendly or sports activities as not applicable. Supermarket fairly well stocked.
Great location and views! Best swimming and snorkelling ever!
Try pitches on left of entrance - some are very sloping! Music very nice.
Pula arena and market worth visiting and a good cycle ride into town. Market open every day with fresh fish and veg and meat!
Well worth a visit
This was a very pleasant and quiet campsite on a peninsula near Pula. We stayed 4 nights and had a very restful time. Pula is too far away to walk but there was a good bus service. We loved Pula. Lots to see eg the amphitheatre but not crowded.
We were delighted to see this site on ACSI since we'd read that it's the closest one to Pula, which we were keen to visit on this trip. Buses run from outside every 20 minutes. The site itself sprawls across a rocky peninsula and has a variety of pitch options. The ACSI pitches are in a largely wooded area where the ground is quite uneven, but if you hunt around on foot first you can find some decent spots with nice views. The showers are quite compact, but with good pressure and nice and hot. All in all, a pleasant three night stay and perfect for visiting Pula.
A good campsite, except for the showers, which are to say the least basic, they also back out onto the pathway and are extremely small and cold. The water is not though. We paid extra for a pitch near the sea, which was quite a lot more (almost double, but for us well worth the extra. I'm not sure if staying here in high season would be as pleasurable as a lot of the pitches are on uneven ground in the trees, but out of season there are some excellent pitches. Pula is worth a visit as the bus stops outside the campsite. Definitely worth staying here just to see the Ampitheatre.
We almost gave this site a miss because of some of the negative reviews, but for us it has been perfect. We chose to pay full price for a pitch right on the sea edge and are glad that we did as the view is beautiful and the sunsets are amazing. However, the pitches included in the ACSI price are pretty good too, so there is ample choice.
The shower blocks are fine and the bars and restaurants are good.
Just a short way from the campsite is a supermarket where the prices are so low that it really compensates for paying for the premium pitch!
WiFi good. Handy for bus into Pula. Pula well worth a visit. Early in season so many facilities on site were not open, and only 2 toilet blocks for a lot of campers.
