Modern, well maintained family campsite with heated sanitary facilities. An ideal base for (mountain)walks, cycle trips or for the many tourist attractions in Carinthia.

    Back again for Easter 2019 to what is probably my favourite campsite. I’ve just read in the owners’ general description that they think the sanitary facilities may look dated but I think they are being unnecessarily modest. The shower and toilet block is as good as any and better than most. I won’t book into any campsite that scores less than 8 for the showers/toilets but I’m fussy about that aspect

    Travelling party: Single

    On site February 2019. This is the third time on this campsite and first in winter. Although there was quite a lot of snow on the ground the roads and footpaths were cleared as were the pitches closest to the showers. Lovely and warm shower and toilet facilities with nice and roomy showers. The campsite has a cafe and bar with a bowling alley and seems very popular with the locals so you get to meet quite a few people. There is an indoor tennis hall also. It’s only about a 100 metre walk to the skibus stop. Hermagor is about a 10 minute walk and,although it is quite a small town, it has five supermarkets.
    Lovely mountain views both north and south of the campsite.

    A very nice campsite, a warm welcome, relaxed atmosphere, good size pitches, excellent showers and toilets. Close to the Presseggersee swimming lake for summer and the Nassfeld Ski Arena for winter. A good base for visiting the lakes and mountains of Carinthia.

    • A23 Villach-Italian border, exit 364 Hermagor/Gailtal. Then B111 till ± 2 km before Hermagor and right at campsite sign. Site about 100m on right. Road via 'Windische Höhen' is closed for caravans.
