A12 Genua-Livorno, exit Sarzana, direction Lerici. 3 km further on follow signs to Bocca di Magra (S432). Camp site clearly marked after Ameglia sign. Small entry to the camp site.

Twee en halve week Camping River is meer dan genoeg. Toegangsweg en omgeving zeer rommelig en vuilnisbeltachtig. Een beetje leren sturen en niet te bang zijn, de toegangsweg is goed te doen met een caravan! Na een flinke regenbui lopen grote delen van de camping snel onder water. Twee keer meegemaakt ! Putten en rioleringsstelsel voldoen nauwelijks, zijn structureel verstopt. Personeel liep na hoosbui een beetje blaadjes te harken. Na veel spreekwoordelijke vijven en zessen kreeg ik een aantal plastic pallets om een droge voortent te maken. Helikopters vliegen af en aan, soms tot 24.00 u! Zwembad was zonder meer goed. Sanitair is zwaar aan vernieuwing toe.Omgeving en verder het weer waren wel prima. Mooie uitstapjes zijn zeer goed mogelijk, Carara, Pisa, Luca, Sarzana !

Camping is erg donker door te veel bomen. Omgeving camping ziet er uit als vuilnisbelt. Prijs kwaliteit is niet terug te vinden. Strand alleen met huurstrandstoelen. Afwatering van regenwater is erg slecht (in 14 dagen 3 keer 15 centimeter water op de camping). Wij komen nooit meer.

Terug van twee weken vakantie op camping River. Het animatie-team verdient een grote pluim en heeft onze kinderen (5, 14 en 15 jr) op verschillende manieren vermaakt, echt niks is daar te gek, met een schuimfestijn op de dansvloer, pizza maken, bodypaint, aquadance wat een gezellige mensen. Ferderika is een schat, en keek na 1000 keer waka waka voor gedaan te hebben met de kids nogsteeds blij, Nik weet alles van presentatie en muziek, Roberto, the future is yours, je bent een kanjer, nee dit is wel de leukste camping waar wij geweest zijn, super. Ik ben alleen maar positief. Bedankt.

Ook geschikt voor jeugd tot 16 jaar, daarboven is er weinig aanbod. Bij erg veel regen staan delen blank maar dat droogt ook weer snel.
Prima uitgangspunt voor uitstappen in de omgeving 5 terre, Carrarra, Lucca, Pisa, Lerici.
Smalle aanvoerweg met gekke bochten, gemiddeld 2 dagen per week last van helikopters.
Zwembad goed, badmuts verplicht
Animatie goed, schaduwrijke plekken.

Personeel is klant onvriendelijk tijdens zware regen in juni is vuil ophalen belangrijker dan de gasten.
