A wonderful place to stay. staff are so friendly and helpful. great cycling around the area. Easy walk into coulon. La Garette is worth a visit. Bar and restaurant looked great although we didn't eat there. All the facilities were clean. We would recommend this site.

This was our second stay at Camping Venise Verte and we will definitely be back. The staff are friendly, the pitches are a good size with shade if you need it. The location is perfect for us with access to miles of cycle paths and we can SUP on the canals opposite the entrance. Coulon, a lovely town, is just a short walk away.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay here.
This is a very friendly campsite with good clean facilities and excellent free WiFi across the site.
It is an easy walk into Coulon, which is well worth visiting.
There is a good bar and restaurant.
We would definitely recommend this site.

Travelling party: Group of friends

We booked this site because it said it was tranquil and peaceful. Whilst we accept we arrived on the Tuesday before a Thursday Bank Holiday, so it might be expected to be busy (although the stunning campsite we left in the Dordogne that morning was not expecting to be rammed) we arrived at 12.45 finding reception shut until 2pm. So we waited in the relatively small site entrance /car park with another caravan. Within half a hour so many camper-vans/motorhomes and caravans had tried to come in they’d blocked the entrance! Probably this should have been a warning…..
First night the site was pretty full . By the next day / night the site was rammed with every pitch over laden. Kids running around the site until past 11. Thursday we returned from a walk to find a tent pitched on a ‘disabled bay’ 1 m from our window with guide ropes in front of our caravan such was the tight space. Every pitch was full except some of the very large deluxe pitches which are so large one had a motorhome and 5 pup tents on it!
Shower block and toilets showed signs of the maxed out use. We left 3days into our one week break. Thankfully after explaining to the manager about our anxiety about the safety of the overcrowding and the proximity of vans / tents to each other, generated a refund of our pre paid stay.
The location is great for access to Coulon and if you’re happy to be packed onto a site like a sardine, you might like this site, especially if you’re a cyclist. I’d prefer peace and tranquility…..which is what I thought we were getting.

Excellent site. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely area. Only problem we encountered was poor wi-fi. This was compounded by no mobile phone signal. (which may have been my provider, but I could get a signal in Coulon!)
