Travelling party: Family with children <4 years

We had a short stay over Easter. New French owners of this site, very welcoming, great facilities and a lovely site. Not a big site, which is just what we like. Spacious and clean block including toilets and showers, plus washing facility along with fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Really pretty woodland walk down to stream. Area for the children to run and play. Didn't use the pool ( bit cold weather) but looked spacious and well maintained. Well worth visiting.

Lovely quiet campsite with very nice, hardworking and helpful owners. Clean, modern well kept toilets and showers. Large pitches, some shaded. Pleasant pool area with plenty of sun beds and sun umbrellas. Excellent value drinks and pizzas prepared and cooked to order.

Travelling party: Seniors

We discovered this site some years ago and it is now a place we make a point of staying at both on our outward and return journeys to the south. The owners, Russ and Lorna, are really lovely, greeting you by name even after the two year break because of the pandemic.
The last two visits have been with our dog who really enjoyed running along the carefully mown paths around the meadows and in the woods.
The toilet block is clean and ‘normal’ with soap. In the bar/restaurant you can get pizzas to eat in or take away, snacks and ice creams.
The biggest plus is that it is very quiet even though only a short distance from the N21 which makes it convenient for a short or longer stay.

Beautiful peaceful campsite. Close to village (boulangerie, restaurant). Food on campsite excellent and very reasonable. Lovely bar area with outside patio benches. Dogs welcomed. Very friendly British owners, Highly recommend, we will definitely return.

We stayed 18 nights, only left Tuesday this week and it was an amazing stay. Such a beautiful, peaceful well maintained site with lots of space! Good walks within the site’s plot which includes a wood, and from the site around the area. The village of St Jory de Chalais is a 5 / 10 min walk with a baker, a bar an and a small shop. The hosts of the Campsite, Russ and Lorna are very lovely, nothing is too much trouble. Great fresh home cooked pizza and snacks too! Wonderful stay, we didn’t want to leave and we’ll definitely be back!

The lake and area were beautiful and peaceful.
