Travelling party: Couple

Just returned from 4 night stay. What a delightful site. The toilets were modern and absolutely spotless with a cleaning regime that did not interfere with the campers. One of the best loos we’ve seen. Staff and fellow campers all so friendly. Pitch was superb. Excellent camping card value. Roads from M4 were wide and easy and safe to drive which is a consideration for me. We had one of the 10 or so hard standings which were flat and level and very well spaced from your neighbours. We did need to drive out from the site to visit Aberystwyth (20 mins drive), Dolgoch Falls, Barmouth and Aberaeron but worth it for the fantastic views. We decided not to take bikes as it was very hilly and we are only leisure cyclists; the right decision. Locally there is a 4 ½ hour walk through the woods and hills into the valley and the Devil’s Bridge Falls are 5 mins down the road ( 45 mins circular walk and 675 steep steps to visit waterfall). The local area has breathtaking scenery. I could not believe we were in the UK. Onsite cafe was closed due to pandemic but instead a mobile catering truck serving all sorts was very busy with tourists with some pleasant seating outside. We tried the local pub (The Hafod) 7 mins walk from site), for drinks but not to eat. Great place to relax and enjoy the views. It was very popular with tourists and locals. One of the best breaks we’ve taken this year and I cannot recommend this site enough.

A lovely place to stay. Toilet facilities were amazing. Well set out and spotless. Unfortunately we pitched next to a loud family of 6 adults who talked late into the night and started again the next morning. We moved on instead of staying a second night.

From the moment we arrived, we just knew it was a lovely place. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although we tend not to use the facilities, I did go and look and thought they were brand new, but they were five years old, amazingly clean and new looking. There was also a cafe on site. The pitches were very well kept and generous in size as was the whole site. The only thing we would have liked was a serviced pitch for our motorhome, but I wouldn’t stop that from returning here. It was great to be able to walk to the Devils Bridge waterfalls(only five minutes walk) and also ten minutes walk to the Vale of Rheidol steam railway from Devil’s Bridge to Aberyswyth.
