Travelling party: Couple

Well located for Jurassic Coast and Durdle Door. New owners have introduced hard standings which proved very beneficial during a wet October visit. Wifi now payable but unreliable. During quiet low season period, reception not attended during advertised low season opening hours and male owner unhelpful when we consequentially had to contact him just outside those hours. Dog friendly. Poor pressure in showers.

We came here for an early autumn break and were not disappointed. Tranquil setting with a bus and railway station only 10 mins walk from the site. Showers and toilets very good. Staff all friendly and helpful. The site is well maintained.

Lovely situation very close to railway station and buses to Swanage and Weymouth. Pub, cafes and shops within walking distance. Facilities really good, spotlessly clean with adjustable showers, a bonus in our view! Maybe the pitches are a little narrow but we'll certainly return

Travelling party: Family with children <4 years

The site is well maintained and facilities very clean. Pitches are close together, play area needed tlc, change of ownership while we were there so hopefully that will be fixed for next season. Station nearby so used the train and bus services a lot - nice to leave the car behind! Black Bear pub in Wool does great Sunday roasts!

Stayed here for three nights over a Bank Holiday so the site was very busy. The toilet facilities are excellent and maintained in a first class condition. Likewise dishwashing and motorhome emptying facilities. The staff were always cheerful and helpful and the shop was well stocked and reasonably priced, although my pint of milk was off.
Best point about the site however was the excellent walks, especially along the nearby River Frome. Wool is a short stroll away but there's not much to see. Nice enough though.
All in all, a fine site. We will return.

Beautiful park. immaculate shower/toilet facilities, really friendly staff. Quiet site. Great WiFi. Village with shops for essentials within a short walk. Little train station within 5 mins walk regular trains to go to many places along coast or inland. Within easy drive of many coastal towns and sandy beaches. Excellent! Geweldig.

We spent 6 nights at this campsite and were most impressed with the cleanliness of both the site and the facilities block. The showers were of excellent design and were the only ones I have encountered where it is possible to put trousers on without them getting wet. All the staff were kind and helpful. A good bus service is available within a 5-10 minute walk. Good walking from the site.
