Excellent facilities extremely friendly and helpful staff, dog walking area extensive. The site was immaculate. The bar and restaurant were closed.

A great campsite with a nice indoor/outdoor pool. Very nice staff - able to pay for a late checkout - which is greatly apricated.

We stayed here just before Christmas for a short break with a plan to visit the seaside towns nearby. Being in a motorhome we were relying on public transport which was unfortunate as the buses at the end of the lane to the site were very infrequent and, when we used them, not keeping to schedule. By the time we got to Bournemouth it was almost time to go back, otherwise we’d have missed the last bus from Ringwood back to the site. Additionally there is a distinct shortage of walks from the site, other than walking along the very busy and noisy main road (which we could hear from the site, but not to a point if disturbance). Toilet facilities were fine. The swimming pool was good and we had it to ourselves. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Other facilities were closed, not unreasonably, it being out of season. So overall we felt that it was not ideal for motorhomes because of the poor transport links and shortage of walking opportunities.

Love Shamba been many times but recently we have been put on grassed plots during the very damp low season, would be better for the site to use the empty hardstanding ones rather than offering them for an upgrade charge. That aside the staff are very helpful and pleasant, the facilities are spotless and pool available if wanted. A nice pub walking distance with good food offers. Road loud but acceptable.

We feel they reserve the worst pitches for acsi customers even when the site is empty. Over the phone we were told that all the pitches were fully serviced. That changed when we presented our acsi card. We were stuffed at the edge of the muddy field, far from all facilities, out of range of any WiFi signal and beneath power cables and pylons that prevented any tv signal at all via satellite. We stayed one night and won’t return.

On site for four days in May 2018. Excellent campsite. Easy access from main road. Very friendly welcome. Spacious pitches with EHU and drinking water close at hand. Modern toilet and shower block with underfloor heating always kept spotlessly clean. Being close to a main road there is bound to be some traffic noise but it doesn’t really detract from all the positives about this site. After the early morning rush hour you don’t really notice it at all.

Stayed for a week in February. It was great. Staff friendly and helpful. Will return. Site is very good and seems open, not cramped together. Pool and toilet facilities are excellent. Cannot comment on food and new kitchen was being installed but everything else was great.

Travelling party: Couple

Excellent location for us as we arrived and departed via Poole Harbour. Good flat easily accessible, well drained, open pitches. Good welcome on arrival. Wifi £3.30 for one day, £4.50 for 2 days, good once we got it going. Track through woods to access campsite and continuous traffic noise. Excellent wash room facilities. Good swimming but hours restricted as used for local swimming lessons. Well stocked site shop and great local Chinese delivery available.

Just returned from our 10 day break at Shamba. Could not fault site and pool. The staff were very helpful and friendly, even helped onto pitch with our caravan. Thanks for a great break.

Very friendly welcome. Spotless toilet and shower facilities and general park upkeep. Swimming pool very nice. Pitches are a little close but very good value for money and close to many good locations.
