Travelling party: Seniors

We stayed here in June to visit Valencia and the bus stop is right opposite the site. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant each night and the staff were charming. The toilet facilities are first class and there is plenty to do on site for all the family. The site organises an evening boat trip on the lake to see the wildlife and sunset and this is well worth doing. We would definitely stop here again.

2 nights February 2017. Not a very awe inspiring approach, the whole place needs a refresh but about average for a Spanish Campsite. Good for visiting Valencia but little else for the mature traveller. It does not have any water stand pipes in the site, the only one available is located at the grey water disposal area next to the rubbish bins. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

A lovely quiet site in a nature reserve and near a lovely beach. Ideal for visiting Valence by bus as regular service stops outside site. Would be great for children with small zoo and horse riding. Local nature reserve has good lookout post and we were lucky to see eagles. Would certainly go back to site again.

The site is excellent for visits to Valencia. The new service blocks are the best we\'ve seen in 4 months in Spain and Portugal. Great for birdwatching on the lake and cycling through the pine forest. Reception lady gave us lots of information. Very pleased we stayed here.

This was a good site with good sized pitches. It\'s good for cycling, making it easy to reach the beach and local shops. Entertainment was offered to celebrate the beginning of summer. There are also opportunities to take boat rides on the beautiful lake. Though quiet during the week it gets very busy at weekends as the gardens are also used by the public. The last of the three toilet blocks should be closed until they are refurbished as they are off putting. Also beware of the swarms of mosquito lavae. They don\'t bite but are a real pest as clouds of them get into everything.

Travelling party: Couple

We stayed 5 nights, Wed to Mon in second half of June.

The good:
Great location for visiting Valencia (lovely and interesting city) with bus stop immediately outside campsite entrance. €1.50pp each way, approx 35 min trip to city centre.
Toilets have seats and there was always plenty of toilet paper.
Superb swimming pool in a lovely setting.
Tarpaulin sunshades over most pitches - quite effective in the very hot weather.
Pleasant and quiet beach walkable from campsite (approx 1km). Easy to follow path through shrub/wooded area across road from campsite entrance.
Plenty of facilities & entertainment for children.

The not so good:
No pitch privacy, side boundaries very low conifer border. Pitches reasonable size, but dry & dusty.
Sanitary facilities apparently refurbished recently. Unfortunately this has not been particularly well done. Only 3 cubicles in ladies block (insufficient). Toilet cubicles are too short. The inward opening doors only just clear the toilet, so you have to squeeze past the toilet to get in and out. Soap dispensers leak liquid soap, so there is a pool of soap beneath. Showers have no dry area inside for clothes and no internal hooks. Many showers have door handle missing, so no means of properly shutting or locking. Cleaning of sanitary blocks was infrequent and of poor standard. Open sanitary bins overflowing with used sanitary towels, tampons and tampon applicators in the ladies.
We did not directly seek out the \'entertainment\'. However, it was loud and intrusive, particularly on Friday and Saturday until about midnight. Noisy until 11pm other nights.
Had a quick look at restaurant, but didn\'t use, so medium rating given.

Standards noticeably worse Fri & Sat when campsite quickly filled mainly with Spanish families. No increase in cleaning of sanitary facilities to cope with increased demand. No sign of any security or supervision to deal with loud groups of youths congregating around sanitary blocks.

Unlikely to return and would only consider midweek out of season.

Good for seeing Valencia with bus at gate, stopping in city and at arts science park. Wanted to stay a week but could only stay 3 nights as they were clearing the site for an event. Internal roads by pitches very tight and we had to chose a different pitch as we couldn\'t negotiate corners, a small motor home might have managed but nothing larger. Site good but not really our preference. Pool looked good but weather not so couldn\'t try it. Busy at the weekend with external party/ wedding? New sanitary blocks good old one not so. Pitches bit small and close. Lovely area with lake and had a spectacular sunset.

Pitches scruffy although works are being done to address this including new toilet blocks. We stayed at extreme end of pitches for a quieter spot away from hub of site. This section is the last to be upgraded but it was our choice to pitch where we did as it is quieter. Would be a great site for small children with the animals and plenty of play area. Nothing really for dog walking/toilet space. Beach not easily accessed from site but didn\'t explore too thoroughly as only stopped one night. Shop has limited basics but Valencia only twenty minutes up the road.

Looked after well by staff after tyre stabbing outside nearest supermarket. Fortunately travelled straight to site or may have been a robbery statistic. Staff helped organise a tyre replacement by local mobile repairer who provided excellent service. Site felt safe. used by Spanish families over holiday weekend. Went quiet at midnight until about 9am. Fresh bread from restaurant that also did basic and OK meals. Three toilet blocks cleaned regularly throughout the day. good hot showers. petting zoo and stuff for families. we\'d certainly visit again.

This site is now giving free wifi which is good quality. Easy bus ride into Valencia and great for cycling. No local shops or bars so you need to stock up. Lovely fresh bread available. Brand new toilet facilities. Hot water for laundry and washing up. Iron and ironing board available. A very good site.
