From the first time you drive it you may want to drive back out. However once in it may be a bit shanty but it is lovely and the perfect base to visit the city and beach. It’s also quite with a large pitch. The toilet is new and the showers are ok. It’s a sweet place and we would be happy to stop here again. Great price at €14 a night all in. Thank you.
More shanty town than camp site with untidy broken down old caravans filling most pitches. Toilets and showers were clean but drains quite smelly. Reception staff seemed disinterested and offered no helpful advice on the site or the area. However a big plus point was the proximity to the beautiful city of Valencia and the superb safe cycle paths to and within the city.
We arrived lunchtime and the reception was shut. A very surly youngish man came & opened up. He then started a conversation in Spanish to his friend. He told me he would show me to the plot & seemed very irritated when I couldn\'t keep up with him. He showed me a plot which looked like a lay by surrounded by shacks showed me where the electricity was & left. The only reason we stayed was because I wanted to go to Valencia the following day. On a positive note the toilet block looked new & the showers were clean. The bus stop to Valencia was opposite the site with a bus every 20 minutes. I wouldn\'t return under any circumstances.
This site is a great location for Valencia but is very small and pitches are very close together and not that easy with a medium to large motor home to maneuver
I’m surprised that this site has any positive reviews. It is not a nice campsite. It’s mainly comprises scruffy static units with very narrow access giving the whole place the appearance of a shanty town. The staff are neither friendly or welcoming. We were shown to a cramped, dusty pitch alongside several statics, one venting its air conditioning unit about 1 meter from our van. A few minutes after setting up, we decided we couldn’t tolerate staying in such a miserable place and left - the first time we’ve ever done that in many years of touring!
We’ve stayed on this site twice in the last month, lots of Spanish weekend buildings, it does look like a shantytown in places, but there’s a bus stop out side which takes you straight into the centre of Valencia, which is my favourite city in Europe, you can also go in by bike in twenty minutes without having to ride on the road, there’s bars/cafes along the front/ beach and in the local village, there was building work going on while we were there to revamp the toilets and showers, the ones finished were very good, we will be back to this site, probably annually..
Was lucky, got site near the toilet block where you can hardly hear the traffic.
On last meter refurbish toilets and showers. Service station clean. nice staff.
Just what we wanted in a good position 9km outside Valencia on a flat cycle track. Site is compact but enough space on pitches. Toilets are decent with spacious showers. Easily mistaken with 3 other sites next to each other. Tiny bit of road noise but no problem.
Very convenient camp site for both the bus to Valencia single journey, bus runs from right outside the campsite every 20-40 mins) and also for bicycle routes into the city and South to the lovely lake of the Albufera nature reserve and the beaches. Swimming pool is clean but restricted opening hours 10-3 and 5-8 seem a bit pointless. Toilets and showers are ok - clean and good supply of hot water. WiFi is free but is slow. The one downside is the presence of large numbers of mozzies and no-seeums - we were being bitten from the moment we arrived - even through our clothes. Only Deet seemed to work, not the citronella products on sale in the bar. Otherwise, very good value for money on the off season ACSI card.
This is a nice campsite with access to the cycle path to Valencia and the bus stop is across the road from the campsite. Be careful when travelling to the site as very close to the campsite, off the roundabout, is another campsite called El Saler this site should be avoided. The Campsite Valencia El Saler is a good stop for visiting Valencia.
