This campsite is perfect for location as you are close to so many scenic places of interest (caves, waterfalls, natural lakes). The reception desk almost doubles up as a tourist information and the staff are so helpful to ensure you enjoy your stay. The pitches are tiered and terraced which run up a steep bank, offering excellent views but tired legs! The pitches are spacious but set on very hard ground and if in a tent you will need to ask reception for their steel nails to use as pegs. There was a lot of cats on site which would kindly leave their mess underneath the gravel covering on the pitches. This was only a mild annoyance given the postives of this campsite. The area has some of the most beautiful sights to see but make sure you have a car to visit many of them.
A hilly campsite but spacious plots. Third level a bit tricky to get onto but just take your time. Water and electric on pitches. Toilets and showers:- clean but basic. Staff can speak English and very helpful. The old railway track runs out of the back of the campsite and you can cycle or walk for miles . Villages around are small and friendly. Wifi:- not very strong on the pitches, one devise at a time. Overall good for walking/cycling and peace and quiet.
Lovely site, easy access from motorway. There are a few pitches with high kerbs - but only on very top level - rest are easy to access. The via verde cycle/walking route runs outside the site - fabulous cycling. Fabulous site - we would return.
Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff in reception, who seem to switch effortlessly between various languages. Toilet blocks are heated which is a boon in winter. Interesting village nearby with old fashioned shops and a market once a week. Spectacular waterfall nearby, and very attractive countryside for cycling and walking - not just the Via Verde but also the local lanes. However, the pitches can be difficult to get into and we found that in a cold wind, 6A was just not enough to keep us warm. Also, the cassette toilet emptying point is a long walk from the tourist pitches.
Very pleasant staff. Our motorhome is 7.9 metres long and there were only two pitches we could access (one of which was taken) due to to the layout approach to the pitches and for this reason we would not stay here again. There was no privacy between the pitches and a large number of flies in the area. On the plus side, the walking route along the old railway track was pleasant, as were the views from the campsite. We were only there for one night so did got manage to get to the town. The restaurant was closed whilst we were there.
situated on steep slope, but managed a Nissan Xtrail and Bailey pageant 7m + length
Showers Toilets ect. very warm & clean
good walking along old railway and surrounding area
This is a great campsite. It has lots of good walking / cycling opportunities around the area, and its just a short walk into Navajas. Navajas is a proper old town with some unique houses. It is also a train journey into Valencia with takes about an hour. The campsite was mostly English and was quiet when we stayed. The site is terraced but the pitches are a decent size, its a bit of a hill climb to the top - good exercise. The toilets were spotless however the water a little tepid. Reception staff were excellent and had all the information you needed on the area. Would definitely stay here again.
Enjoyed our stay at this site, lovely setting, close to cycle and walking routes. Greenway route is accessed direct from site. Staff very good and at providing information on local area and also Fallas festival in Valencia. Good sized pitches. Tiered so you can enjoy the views quite steep up hill. WiFi good and free. Enjoyed a walk along river to Segorbe. Railway station close by site too. We took the train back to site one stop (few and far between though). Restaurant ok, ate there on a Saturday. Things not so good were toilet facilities although clean and tidy, were basic and only 2 showers, toilets and sinks for upper tiers. 3 in lower tier. Outside washing up open to elements which were cold and windy when were there. Washing machine needs some maintenance, left what I thinks is old washing powder marks on washing I did which was not helpful. Would recommend and stay at this site again.
if you are young and fit or a mountain goat, then this campsite might suit you. Set on terraces, with the lower three or four being reserved for long stay campers, some of whom have obviously been here for years, (reminiscent of a refuge camp). The Caravans all looked very scruffy draped in flapping canvas and sun shades. The roads in the camp site are rough with potholes everywhere, except at the entrance which is very smart with state of the art (number plate recognition) automatic barriers. Travelers like us were allocated pitches at the top of the hill under artificial shade, on gravel plots that will bend the strongest of your tent pegs. The toilet blocks are a bit tired, but just about adequate if you are lucky enough to get tepid or lukewarm water. Barbecue's are not allowed, and there is not enough electricity to power an electric grill or even a kettle, If like us your caravan has air conditioning then you will be dissapointed when it trips the fuses. If you want to use the pool or visit the bar/restaurant then be prepared for a long walk down and a really tough climb back home afterwards. We did actually drive down to the entrance where all the facilities are located, but unfortunately there are no parking spaces. We did eventually persuade the girl in reception (I pointed out my bandaged knee) to allow us to overstay the 5 minute parking limit so we could have a quick swim. I was disappointed with this campsite, having read some quite good reviews.
If you want to visit this area avoid the weekends when it seems like the entire Valencian community is here.
Can't fault the campsite but the meal we had in the restaurant was appalling! The soup was supposed to be a local speciality with ham and croutons, we got chicken noodle and it was very salty. The main course of chicken breast was hard and dry the accompanying "seasonable vegetables" mounted to one small burnt piece of something that might have been a vegetable, we couldn't tell, and the ice cream for desert was a 2inch square of tasteless stuff on a plate with nothing to decorate it or make it look appetising.
We would stay again but forget the restaurant.
