A beautifully laid out campsite, with large fully serviced pitches each surrounded by bushes. A beautiful pool with poolside bar and restaurant. Lovely showers and toilets. Only downside. Nowhere to walk dogs on site.
Beautiful new site, well laid out flat hedged pitches. Excellent facilities. Good free wifi. Restaurant wasn\'t good food over cooked. Very friendly helpful staff. Easy walk into Villajoyosa. Ten minute walk to the metro which provides cheap easy transport from Alicante to Calpe. from Villajoyosa to Benidorm.
Great campsite and staff toilets very clean.
The only downside is if you have a dog there is no much in the way of dog walks in the local area.
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Toilet block clean with plenty of hot water in the showers. Restaurant fair but I don’t favour frozen veg. Plenty of parking space on the pitches. Fully serviced pitches. Fabulous walking behind Finestrat and Sella. Nice beach at Villajoyosa.
Cons: There appears to be a vendetta against the campsite from local residents. Dogs are left out to bark all night. Two cockerels crow during the night. We could hardly sleep and had to use ear plugs every night. Fires are lit when the wind is in the direction of the campsite. There’s a recycle plant on one side which starts up at 7.00am. The rubbish is collected at 2.00am. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning again.
Great site every thing that you could want just a shame the pool is too cold for winter sun. Nice walk into the town. Plenty of sights to see in the country side.
Probably the best campsite we have used in the last 20 years the only downside is it is 1.6 km from the town and beach but the quality of the site more than makes up for it and the beach is second to none. 100% recommended.
Excellent site, facilities and staff. roads around campsite are excellent, pitches very good size. Very close to Villajoyoso, 5 mins on a bike. Definitely return
On the site May/June 2018, firstly the important stuff : For large caravans the access is good, pitches vary in size, the more you pay the bigger the pitch. For my 8 metre van, awning and car plenty of room. Fully serviced as advertised and toilet facilities just about as good as it gets in Spain. Great surroundings for walking and excellent mountain roads for biking, 10 mins walk to town and another 10 to the beach, the campsite is on a hill so maybe problematic to some. This is a new site (2016) so the shade from vegetation is in the early stages, could be a problem in summer months, fortunately the pool is great.
New campsite. Clean tidy staff very helpful, I was delighted to find that were keen to encourage my attempts at Spanish (special thanks to Toni who speaks four languages). Dog walks limited, dog beach difficult to find some 7.6 kilometres from the campsite Cala el Charco. There is another good dog walk out past the rugbi pitch at the emblse de Amadorio.
This was an unplanned stop and initially, we were very impressed with the layout of this site. Big roads and good size pitches with electricity and water.
A very friendly site - probably because many people have decided to stay for some time to enjoy the winter sun of this area. The swimming pool looks amazing and should be a great feature in summer.
We were disappointed in the toilet/shower block. It is brand new and looks fabulous. However, there are issues regarding a strong and unpleasant smell which was present for the three days that we were there! Also, we tried out the bar for an evening drink and found the selection a bit limited, but again, maybe that is because it is new. Personally, I think it's a site that will improve and I for one would certainly give it a second chance and also, Vilajoyosa is a nice, pretty little town with some decent restaurants.
