Wow, fantastic site, can't fault anything, got to be the best site in Spain. Just come, guaranteed satisfaction.
Very impressed with this site. Staff are friendly and helpful. Pitches are big and full services. Pool area is really nice. Gym and heated pool ncluded in rate. Restaurant is reasonable price and selection. Near good supermarkets and restaurant.
Very friendly. In the winter season a lot of social events with good european integration.
Stayed at this campsite for 5 nights in April. Campsite is excellent. Short walk to the beach area. Staff really friendy.Restaurant and bar offer good value meals. Toilet facilities excellent.
Have booked again for August (full rate!) and taking the grandchildren
LOVE LOVE this camp site!!! Everything & everyone is fantastic! Bathrooms are heated & clean, complete with toilet paper, hand soap & paper towels. Free Wi-Fi is available all over the site & works great. The pitches are spacious. I used the gym, spa & indoor heated lap swimming pool everyday during the week we stayed. Stay 7 days, pay 6. There is a great sense of community here: Peter from Sweden bakes pastries & bread every Friday; Cribbage Wednesdays, Spanish lessons on Tuesdays, various fitness classes daily. Even the accommodations for those without campers looked modern & beautiful. The only problem I had with this site is the location. It's just off the N332 which is not walkable & very unfriendly for biking. My husband got a flat on his bike after riding only a few hundred meters. It's a shame because there's a fantastic Merca China (the best I've seen so far), Lidl & Mercadona just 1.5km away, but best reached via car. There's a small road that leads to the beach and you get to see all the plastics all along the river. The beach is long & fine sand but we never stayed long because it was too windy & cold in Nov. Would definitely return because of the fabulous facilities and community!
Stayed for 3 weeks over Easter.
What a gem of a site.Everything spotless.Good size pitches.outdoor swimming pool fabulous, although a bit chilly, but understanderbly so for time of year/indoor pool also brilliant.
A good walk to a perfect beach, through woods which the dog loved.
Restaurant was excellent and entertainment provided over Easter(I understand that restaurant was being refurbed just as we left, so can’t wait to see result of that.......booked again for a month over Easter 2019.All staff were 1st class, and the site shop was very reasonably priced.
Overall an excellent site, large flat pitches with some shade. Each pitch has electric and water and drainage. Toilets are clean with lots of hot water, toilets have paper. Plenty of space for large outfits. Shop has basics but little else, nothing fresh but supermarkets are 5 minutes away. Access to the beach is difficult for people with disabilities but there are several very nice beaches close by if you want to drive. Staff are very helpful and speak some english. The site is very busy with Spanish families at the weekend.
We stayed only 2 nights 7th and 8th July 2017 but wished we could have stayed longer. The site was modern and well set out and although a little out of the way there was plenty to do on site. Pitches were large and spacious and lots of games to keep everyone busy, crazy golf, football and several other pitches including Pétanque. The pool was fantastic and the onsite shop well stocked and reasonably priced, evening entertainment wasn't to my taste but everyone else enjoyed the Swing Band. The restaurant and bar served good meals, again at a reasonable cost with a different theme every night. I enjoyed the Mexican theme night. The beach is a fifteen minute walk away but clean and well appointed with beach bar serving ice cold beers and hot drinks. Wished we could have stayed longer but defo will return.
Wonderful place to stay. Everything excellent, except for food at the bar, our experience was not the best, but can't fault anything else. Water, grey waste and elec on pitch. Also, aerial on pitch you can hire a wifi booster which is cheap and works perfectly. Everything clean, facilities heated. Very friendly campsite, pitches large. Shops across main road with weekly market. Beach is beautiful with naturism and clothed, which ever you prefer.
Why: The area looked interesting and the site seemed to have good facilities and good reviews.
Location: On the Northern outskirts of the town of Guardamar del Segura. The town is not too commercialised. There are one or two shops selling tourist souvenirs and a big weekly market but is basically a Spanish seaside town with quite a few apartments which seem to be occupied by the British during the winter.
Check in – We tried to book online but could not get the period we wanted so I telephoned. It turned out that the two-week period we wanted to stay straddled 2 Spanish public holidays and a lot of Spanish had booked pitches. With a little bit of compromise, we eventually booked in for 12 nights. When we did arrive, we were offered a choice of pitches. When we were there a lot of Brits were digging in for the Winter. There as a good mix of nationalities including Dutch, German and Scandinavians.
Pitches – are of varying sizes but on the whole quite large for Spain. We easily accommodated our 7.5m caravan, awning and car. The surface is compacted clay and many people had aid down the mesh groundsheets. Most pitches have shade provided mostly by conifers. All pitches have electricity, water, grey water drainage point and a TV connection. We were able to watch BBC1, BBC2, ITV1 and ITV2.
There are a lot of bungalows on site but they are modern and very well maintained.
• Three shower blocks, although slightly dated they were clean.
• Very nice pool area with lots of loungers and various children’s features inc small slides and tipping buckets.
• Bar and restaurant. We did not use the restaurant but did have one meal in the bar which was not great. My Pizza looked and tasted like a cheap frozen pizza and my wife’s barbecued ribs were so tough she gave up and just ate the chips. The wine was very good and very cheap.
• There is a shop on site selling a good range of items at reasonable prices.
• Multigym with a good range of dated kit including running machines and cycles.
• The site is not on the beach but you can walk or drive across the dunes – beware it is a very bumpy road. There are no facilities on the beach but it is very pretty. We drove to the beach in Guardamar itself which we thought was excellent. In addition to beach chairs for hire there was also a range of restaurants and cafes nearby.
• Very well run and maintained site.
• Huge weekly market, bars and restaurants in Guardamar.
• Large Mercadona and Asian Bazaar nearby. Although not far away I would not recommend walking to them along the busy road with no footpath.
• To be sure of a pitch you need to book ahead.
• Some traffic noise from the N332 which is busy day and night.
Would we use again – yes. Nice laid-back site near Guardamar and its lovely beach. Though we would book ahead next time.
