We have stayed at this campsites several times now and after a break of 2 years felt a review was due. The campsite as others have said is kept immaculately clean and tidy, toilet blocks etc are all excellent. The road to the campsite again as others have said is 2km of unmade rough stony dusty ground that doesn\'t get any better as time passes. Monday to Friday lunchtime it is quiet and utterly peaceful mainly occupied by French, Dutch, Swiss, German and English campers (this is out of high season).

However ( and you knew one was coming)! Friday lunchtime onwards many Spanish Families arrive with many children. The noise level goes up and peaceful campsite is turned into Spanish Mayhem. This in itself is not a problem and we have no problem with children or the Spanish. However, there are few campsite rules and the noise can go on until 1 or 2 in the morning with children playing and parents oblivious to any respect for others. This goes on until Sunday early evening when once again the campsite returns to peace and civility. Also I would advise anyone thinking of going to Ribamar not to arrive on Friday , Saturday or Sunday as getting into the campsite can be very tight. This is also a problem further down the road where locals visiting the beach at the end of the track can virtually block access for any larger vehicles. This also applies to the immediate campsite road on a Sunday in particular when day visitors arrive and block the entrance to the campsite.
So here is the dilemma, a great campsite 4 days of the week but not good at weekends. The campsite really needs to get a grip and impose some control at week ends.

This is an absolutely lovely site. The facilities are very clean and modern. The pool is delightful and the bar/restaurant overlooking the pool serves fabulous food and wine at very reasonable prices. There is access to a rocky beach from the site but not really suitable for children. Sandy beaches are just down the coast at Alcossbre. Pitches are all gravel of a reasonable size. Many pitches have water connection as well as electric hook up. The only slight downside is the 1.5kms very rough track to the site!

Immaculate small site. Very tidy and manicured. Good toilet and shower facilities. Large swimming pool.

€2 for a pint of beer between 4pm and 6pm. Small shop. Could do with but more available tourist info.

A lovely, small rural campsite with some rental bungalows. Large pitches with trees and hedges. Gravel base. On a hill but efforts have been made to terrace the pitches which are (mostly) level. Electricity and water is accessible. Grey water disposal available also. There is one ablution block which was kept spotlessly clean during the week we stayed - early October. There were toilet plus sink cubicles which were nice. Showers were spacious with plenty of space & hooks to keep clothes dry. Loads of hot water. Washing up sinks & laundry sinks were clean with plentiful hot water. Washing machines and dryer. There is a pool, bar and restaurant on site. Pool is salt water which was a bit of a shock to me as a fitness swimmer - yuck, only went once!! I\'m sure it\'s fine for splashing around and cooling off. The restaurant sells bread, there is no shop to speak of so go with plenty of provisions. The ste is situated 5 minutes walk from a rocky coastliine and a couple of miles walk to the nearest town. There are lots of paths and roads to walk from the site. Lots of mozzies too - take precautions! It\'s a very peaceful place to stay, no road or train noise just the waves crashing onto the rocks.

Welcoming staff on reception and choices regarding pitch. The pitches are spacious with easy access to water. The toilets and showers were spotless. The swimming pool is large and beautiful. Sea swimming at local coves. Bring provisions with you as the shop is very limited because the site encourages people to eat at the campsite restaurant. A lovely site.

Lovely campsite which was very busy with Spanish families until 12/0821 but now much quieter. The only problem is the flies which are everywhere and very annoying.

A beautiful place, so peaceful. Such wonderful stall. Great facilities. The most amazingly hot showers. Immaculate bathrooms. Fantastic for dogs.

Third year running we have visited Ribamar and we think for us it is the best campsite we have come across in Spain in the last 3 years. February 2020,september 2021 and October 2022. We have a 7.5 m motorhome and find that all pitches are huge and relatively Flat on a gravel surface. Take a club hammer if you want to hammer in tent pegs and storm straps.Dogs are welcome on the site and most people obey the rules and keep their dogs under control and on leads. Dog shower in the toilet block is a nice touch although our three German shepherds found it difficult to get out of the bath as it needs a rubber mat for grip. Restaurant is open all year and the food is reasonably priced with excellent choice accompanied by good cheap house wine. As the road to the camp is more suited for a 4x4 vehicle I suggest that once on the site don’t move the camping van until you need to leave. We take E Bikes and can get to the town in 10 minutes even suffering a bone shaking ride when you think your fillings will fall out but we can get a large amount of shopping in the paniers. A good supermarket Consul at the top of the town. Great dog walks along the foot paths and into the national park. Bring plenty of fly repellant in September and October. February was best as there were no flies. We made the mistake in October this year as ACSI was not accepted the week we stayed so check the accepted dates on this site.We will be Back.

What you have read abouth the entrance road is all true and more. The reception staff are very friendly and extremely helpful in all aspects. The ground staff pay eceptional care with the cleanliness of all the sites facilities. The bar/restuarant service is also exceptional and the menu varied and inexpensive. All in all a taste of pradise.

We had a great 2 night stay. Facilities were great. Pitch was brilliant size however could not get any tent pegs in ground. many people seemed to have same problem. Road is very bumpy but worth the bumps. We did some
great snorkelling in the calas.
