This is a lovely site if you like noise and staying on what resembles a construction site. while we are here there has been constant construction noise from JCB,s cranes dumper trucks etc . Currently under construction is a new shower block new cabins laying service pipes all over the site digging up trees and local Spanish families moving in to construct their seasonal residences complete with fridge freezes plumbed in sinks and toilets tents. The review states there are 7 annual season pitches , more like 70 here and more arriving. When we arrived (end May) we were informed that the main swimming pool was closed as was the shop only open weekends due to it not being summer yet . Currently writing this in relatively quiet period as workmen on tea break. Would I return here....No

Good site if you can ignore adjacent motorway in peak times (most). Would be packed if in better location. Too early for supermarket on site and pool overused by residents small children but everything very good. About 15 minutes pleasant town walk to seaside with small and not easily accessed bays. some nice cafes in town and large supermarket ten minute level walk from site. Will use again if pushed for a one night stay - shame really as it deserves better.

Reaction from the campsite 11 January 2017

Dear Mr. Maxwell
Thank you for your opinion, it is very helpful and we will try to get better.
Regards.

We stayed here for one night only (booked for 2 but couldn’t face a second night of noisy locals and their children playing ball games outside the motorhome until midnight - to be fair the parents were worse). Campsite clean, beach close by, pool etc looks good - didn’t try the restaurant. The pitches are a good size but they are very close to the pitch opposite - so felt very oppressive. Lots and lots and lots of long stay residents onsite. Wouldn’t revisit

Flat site. excellent entrance. Doesn\\\'t seem to be very old. Lots of long term caravans and tents. Very high kerb to pitches but our caravan reversed up them ok. Would maybe be advisable to put a small block of wood to assist the nose wheel up. Good size pitches. Very built up area outside the site with Spanish holiday homes and not much Spanish feel to the immediate vicinity though a walk to the beaches and along the prom is good. Only stayed 4 nights so did not use the restaurant except for a drink but menu looked OK. Would return as a stop over but not enough there for us to be long term.

This is supposed an excellent site. Really? Perhaps when they’re not digging up new pitches it will be better. I had heard such lovely things about this site and was bitterly disappointed. The only good point was the staff - couldn’t fault them.

Reaction from the campsite 3 September 2018

Dear Mr. Baker,
Thank you for your comments.
We regret that your stay has not been of your liking and has coincided with the improvement work of our facilities.

we have been here on a number of occasions normally Sept/Oct,this was the first time in June.Campsite had a totally different feel as it is now set up for the Spanish holiday season. Most of the better pitches taken up by permanent Spanish set ups which looked a mess with old caravans tents etc. Each pitch has a high sun shade cover which are good. Most pitches have water, waste and 16amp electrice including 4kw a day free, then metered.First women on reception not very helpful or friendly, others really nice.Weekend invasion of Spanish families(yes it is Spain) on the friday afternoon with 200 kids running wild with no real control, took over both swimming pools which are great if you can use it,Sunday tea time it was back to a quiet campsite. We love the area plenty to do and see if you get out and about,we cycled for miles.Plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance.Would return again but not this time of year, would not survive another weekend!!

Very nice site with great facilities, we stayed for two nights in October and found the site to be full of people staying for the winter, very few people passing through. The site is only about fifteen minutes walk from the town and beaches where you will find plenty of bars ect. The cycle path is directly outside the camp and cycling in the area is flat and goes on for miles, well worth a visit for a couple of nights.

Stayed on the site for most of June after initially staying for just 3 nights. Decided to stay as we really liked the surrounding area and had already visited a number of sites. The site is busy, particularly at weekends when the Spanish turn up with their families, but it’s a Spanish campsite so what do you expect! However, it is also friendly, clean and with lovely facilities and great staff. The camp restaurant is also top quality. The nearby towns are very nice, particularly Lo Pagan. The new shower block was being built so there was some noise and construction traffic, but it didn’t cause us any issues. We really like this site and are returning in Sept.

Excellent site originally planned for just an overnight stop but stayed four nights, large pitches, excellent facilities, the outdoor pool was closed (it was late October) however didn\\\'t try the indoor pool even though it looked very inviting, food and drink prices very fair and food tasty. Excellent cycle tracks around the area and good places to explore -- will definitely stay again.
