Such a disappointment. A very scruffy site with shacks scattered amongst the pitches. The staff were not very helpful and were not prepared to deal with a noise issue we had. The toilet facilities are very tired. Will certainly not visit again.
What a disappointment! This is a large site with pitches set amongst \"structures\". The place is very tired, particularly the toilet facilities. The staff were very unhelpful. Site can be very noisy late at night and staff are not interested.
Such a disappointment!!! This was a very noisy site and particularly at night and in the early hours of the morning. Staff were not interested when complaint was made. The facilities are very tired and scruffy and the site is full of scruffy constructions.
We have been to this site 3 times this year so far. It appears to be marmite - you either love or hate it. We like it - it has a fantastic supermarket, good size plots, new log cabins, plenty of different sport facilities, indoor/outdoor swimming pools. Bar and restaurant on the beach. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Excellent security staff patrolling around the site at all times. Friendly campers. The site is kept very clean. The bathroom facilities are looking tired but the cleaning crew do a sterling job going in regularly and making sure it is continually spotless. There are permanent residents who have ensured that their properties are completely protected from the sun and they do give a bit of an appearance of a ´shanty´town but most of these are on the outer edge of the site. With a motorhome - if you use the middle sections then it is all open and very pleasant. The facilities for motorhomes are spot on and there is everything you could want. -we would recommend it wholeheartedly. .
Stayed at this site for the third time January to April 2017. have booked for January to April 2018. Staff first rate wanted to move pitch on problem. Restaurnt good and very reasonable. Beach good and clean. If going the beach or restaurant you will need pushbike or other transport. Overall not bad. Thanks La Manga
No hot water for dishwashing or hand laundry, flies flies lots of them. Went for lunch - Tapas, worst ever. Toilets are small and dated but clean. Had to come here as meeting family at La Manga Club Resort lucky them.
stayed on this campsite over the weekend although it's a huge site once situated in your very generously proportioned pitch it didn't feel like you were part of such a big site. Toilet and shower facilities are excellent there is a large Spar on site to stock up on plus a great restaurant down by the beach that offered a great menu del dia & noche which was good quality food and value. Entertainment was laid on too on Saturday night at the restaurant which was an added extra bonus. Great site all round the only little niggle we had was the fact there was no hot water available in the dish washing area other than that would definitely go again!
Marmite! Some love it, we didn't! one third of this huge site is a resident 'shanty town. A couple of permanent people even jokingly referred to it as Soweto. We were situated midway between the shop and the sea, either way it was a good walk. We had major problems getting Wi-Fi reception, told it was free - but it didn't work. We could buy minimum one month (2 days to install) not a lot of use when you are here for 10 days. Half way through our stay they switched from free to paying by the day but it still didn't work satisfactorily.
On the plus side, the beach is good for dog walking, the pitch is fully serviced, the restaurant is good, and there is good security. We certainly would not come again and cannot recommend.
Well after hearing about this site I booked 2 weeks. I lasted 3 days and one of those was travelling there. It's a shanty town of horrible buildings and various pitches. The site is in the middle of nowhere and a distance to anywhere The pitches on one side of the gravel roads get the winter sun and the others not till after 10am. Toilets were dated and had signs of over use not surprising the amount of people on here. It's extra for the pool so I didn't bother and it's that far to reception I went on my motorbike. The bar is down on the beach so if you are at the top of the site near reception you will be sober by the time you get home. I had a pitch by the toilets that got hardly any sun and my awning and van stayed wet most of the day. The staff do their best and I was offered another pitch which had good tree cover. Would have been great in the summer!!! Lady manager said it had been designed 20 yrs ago with summer in mind. Given winter is now the busiest time in campers it might pay to modernise the blocks in turn.
This is a huge camp site, almost a thousand touring pitches which are all hard standing and spacious, there are 500 static pitches which looks like a shanty city never mind a town, this is a shame as it defiantly spoils the site, the touring pitches are well maintained with hedging, all very good, toilet blocks are good with plenty of hot water, swimming pool area very nice but no sun beds, reception friendly with good understanding of English, just as well as the site seam to be full of Brits on the winter migration. Sporting facilities, this site has the lot and seams to be well used, the supermarket on site is a large Spar, and if they don't sell it it don't exist,, there is a bar down on the beach which I did not visit due to the 20 minute walk from our pitch, as I said it is a big site, if you enjoy cycling you will love this place and can cycle for miles mostly off road. I would recommend this site and would probably return.
