The site has great sized pitches with elevated views of the sea.
The lovely heated salt water swimming pool has the water changed daily.
Also the site is within easy walking distance of Isla Plana, a small village with restaurants and coffee bars.
The site is also an easy bike ride or short bus journey to the larger town of Mazaron which bustles and has a marina.
A coastal walk in the opposite direction brings you to La Azohia, a sleepy village with a tower standing sentinel over the Mediteranean sea and a small selection of beach bars.
Tip: Almost directly opposite the site entrance is an easy to miss footpath which leads down onto the coast path and saves you having to walk along the road in either direction.
After the outdoor activity you can shower in the spotlessly clean shower block with 'hot' water.

Not possible to give this campsite a full review as we only wanted to stay for two nights and there is a 3 night minimum stay. went elsewhere.

We have just spent yet another superb 2 weeks here. The thermal water pool facilities (emptied and refilled overnight) are great. The well serviced pitches are large and very well maintained, many having a view towards the sea. Whilst some of the toilet blocks are showing their age they are spotless and the showers cannot be bettered for force. The walk up the Rambla EL Canar next to the site is one of the best gentle walks around. We thoroughly enjoyed the cycling in the area and the sea was very kind to us with our many kayak expeditions including a day from La Azohia to Cabo Tinoso via Cala Cerrada. With a good choice of places to eat within walking distance the location is OK. As ever the staff were friendly and helpful. We will be back....even made a note of the pitch numbers we would prefer!

This is a typically large commercial coastal site. It is well administered by efficient and friendly reception staff. Several extras to pay for which were priced at the top of acceptability. The pitches were of good size and perfectly level. The sanitary facilities were up to the standard we would expect from a site like this. It is situated on the coast road about 900 mtrs walk from reception, on a track, to the beach. It is 800 mtrs from reception to the nearest restaurant. It has, what appear to be, long term campers who were mainly of German nationality and not very friendly at all.
What we did. Well, if old industrial architecture is your thing, have a look at “El Minas de Marazzon” (37°36\'09.4\"N 1°19\'19.1\") We have never seen anything like it! An old mining company with its peak in 1888 and abandoned in 1963. Fascinating!
Like wise take a ride up to “Batería de Castillitos”at Cabo Tiñoso (37°32\'28.2\"N 1°07\'33.1\"W). The guns that used to protect the naval base at Cartagena.
Lots of marvellous walks on the cape.
To sum up the site is good and efficient but very commercial and lacks any personality. However, we would use it again.

A great, well kept site with large gravel pitches, separated by hedges. Shower facilities etc have recently been updated and are fabulous ,good size, hooks, shelves, plenty of powerful hot water. Laundry facilities good. Heated pool, table tennis and boules pitches all good. Small supermarket and restaurants, 15-20min walk, 5 min on bike. Recommend

this is a beautifully maintained campsite, with ample facilities and great pitches that allow plenty of space and privacy. each pitch has electricity and a water supply. its well lit at night and there was a lovely friendly atmosphere throughout our stay. we have stayed in other sites in mazarron and this is our favourite. beach nearby, walks and mountain sceanary. would definitely stay again

Great pitches with lots of space and hedges giving privacy. As per previous reviews swimming pool was amazing and so warm, great asset especially in the winter when you are unable to use most campsite pools. The ladies showers were 10 out of 10 , I compare to a good hotel shower . Great paths to walk along coasts to local villages . Unable to use restaurant as closed . We hope to return.

Lovely campsite in a dramatic landscape but the beaches near are poor Mazarron just up road are much better . Campsite on a very steep hill and is terraced , however the pitches are very small and seemed to be for motorhomes rather than caravans , we could not pitch our awning . The gentleman on reception when we arrived shouted at us saying he had told the man to walk round and choose a pitch first , the ‘man’ is deaf and failed to understand him but we did not deserve the shouting at we got . This spoiled our stay but we loved the area

This excellent site is well organised by a family with decades of experience. High standards of hygiene throughout including the thermally heated swimming pools which are emptied and refilled daily. Generous size pitches with views over Mazarron Bay and the Mediterranean. Reassuringly strict adherence to rules relating to the handling of the current pandemic.
