Great camp site, right on the beach, we last visited 38 years ago, it has changed, but we still love it. Obviously the surrounding area has changed enormously, but we can live with that. It\'s a very busy site all year round, but they do have the odd pitch vacate. You do need to be dog lover, as almost everyone has a dog or two, but it\'s still quiet during the day and night.

Nice friendly staff, kept clean and tidy by a team of gardeners who have made great sculptures of the trees and bushes. The pond at the entrance has some Spanish river turtles so be careful when you drive in! Access directly to the beach and a dog friendly beach, lots of local shops and restaurants. Plot facilities are better than most and include drainage so it is not necessary to move to empty grey water tanks

With respect to some of the negatives written about this site, yes it seems that all travelling Europeans have to have a small dog as a prerequisite so there is some annoyance from these little yapping four legged creatures. As for the site being like a gravel car park I disagree as it is well laid out with decent sized pitches with water and waste on most pitches plenty of palm trees flowers and shrubs and well kept gardens, the site is continually being maintained, there are metal frameworks to carry the sunshades for the hot months but they are hardly noticeable and prevents a certain nationality always wanting a bit of some one else's pitch!!! The toilet blocks/showers are always clean with endless supply of hot hot water, plus a new block this year which is excellent. We have stayed at many sites across Europe usually staying max 5 days at any one site, having done 3 weeks last year here this year we are staying for 8 weeks not sure I could do that in any of the others we have visited.
The site has a great ambience and the village has a Spar that sells EVERYTHING, a good bar with live English footy on TV, blues bar with live music once a week terrific atmosphere but not Benidorm!!! Also other nice places to eat. Between the site and the beach there is a paved walkway for a good half mile nice to stroll to the end where there is the Oasis tapas bar with fabulous food. From our van we are 100m from the sea which as I write this in October is lovely and warm for swimming well into sunset
Staff are excellent especially the older guy with beard. We have met friends and other Brits here and everyone says one of the best sites they have been on, can't be bad as it's fully booked now until next Spring. For people who don't do long stays we have booked again for next year for 5 weeks. If you stay here a must to visit (20 mins by road) is Percheles lovely bay with palm trees few people and great swimming small beach. Bar (paëlla!).
Excellent site

Neither met any unfriendly longtermers nor experienced tight turns nor small pitches so unsure of those negative comments. Well laid and clean site and sanitaires. Have a front row pitch and no complaints, the couple on one side are grumpy but keep to themselves so no problem the other side are Austrians and super nice and friendly. Staff very willing to accommodate us in 3.5m high pitch as well away from the trees where they’re allegedly processionary caterpillars. Half a dozen restaurants and Spar 50m from site.

This is the second time we have been to this site. We stayed for 4 weeks and had the most relaxing time we have had on any site. Every thing you need is within easy walking distance. The site seems to be being upgraded all the time but this was not interfering with what we were doing. We will definitely go back

Very busy campsite with lots of long term overwinters. Nice mix of nationalities the majority being French. Campsite divided in squares and quite jammed but lots of shade. Bit too crammed in for our liking. However the location is perfect. Adjacent to see and huge dog friendly beach with long, well it promenade, bars and restaurants near by. The toilets and shower blocks were fantastic, best we have seen anywhere. Nice pool and bar with frozen beer glasses!

Once my favourite campsite but unfortunately spoilt this year by the amount of unthoughtful dog owners. The owners have spent massive amounts of money upgrading this site but dog owners seem to be content on ruining it. Whilst there for 7 weeks May and June this year dog owners allow the dogs to foul on vacant and sometimes used pitches and then just covering it over with their foot with the pitch gravel. Also supposed at the amount of dogs on the beach, here again dogs allowed to run free and foul and the owners take no notice. Whilst there they completed a new paved road and verge, then put lovely large flower pots around the area. Within a few hours the dogs had left their mark on these again. Hopefully the site will start restrictions on the amount of dogs allowed and start charging for them to cover the cost of keeping things clean.

Stayed here for three nights, nice beach, Bolnuevo interesting small town, good walk/cycle track through the Sierra de las Moreras to the south of the town. Camp site facilities are excellent however the plots are small, little privacy and resembles a car park for campervans and caravans...

Great location and facilities. Toilets and showers were excellent . We were on pitch 648 near beach which was ample for our twin axle caravan but quite tight corners to get around so had to go round corners with motor mover! This was made worse by the seasonal pitches building there fences and frames to accommodate all the crap they put around their pitches. If it wasn\'t for that this sight would be amazing, but that\'s just my opinion. There are some fantastic pitches further back on the site and if we returned we would head for them.

I have stayed for a number of weeks at this site in each of the past 12 years. The staff are always helpful and courteous and the management gives a Christmas hamper for those guests staying over the festive holidays. Nice gesture! The site is adjacent to the beach and there are nice local restaurants and bars in the village nearby. All this with a backdrop of the Sierra Espuna mountains!
