General information

Campsite Pico de la Miel is a campsite with 75 touring pitches and 300 year round pitches. During low season, between 01-01-2017 - 29-06-2017 and 28-08-2017 - 31-12-2017, the nightly rate is €19,- at one of the 75 touring pitches at Campsite Pico de la Miel in La Cabrera (Madrid). At this campsite you can not only use your CampingCard ACSI for inexpensive camping, you can also use your ACSI Club ID (as an alternative ID).

A campsite with a wide variety of trees, set at the foot of a beautiful mountain range, with a separate area for campers and swimming pools. A trip out to the mountain villages and a tour along the valley are well worth the visit. Beautiful panoramic views in rural nature. Ideal also as an overnight stop on your way to Portugal and the south of Spain.

Travelling party: Couple

Lovely setting but touring area tucked out of the way and seems an afterthought. Pitches small which led to people taking 2 or even 3 when we were there. Convenient for stopover but would not use again unless stuck for a site.

Decent overnight stop heading north. Close to the motorway. Useful shop on site. Shower facilities decent. Pitches not well differentiated, but flat and easy to access. Would use again.

Quite basic campsite but ok for an overnight stop. The showers had plenty of hot water. Shop and bar were shut while we were there.

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

Used as a stop over. Would by difficult to pitch a tent as the ground is a stone. Very child friendly and is located in a village with shops and bars. Would use for a stop over again. It is not a luxury place however it is very family friendly and safe at night. 24jul15.

We used this site for its location on our journey south, whilst it is not the best it was okay and did the job, would hate to be there in the summer. Shower block only heated in the mornings. Would use it again as a stopover.

Travelling party: Seniors

It is generally a site of permanent chalets or caravans with only a few touring pitches (175?? I do not think so!) which appear to be located in one scrubby sandy area with little or no privacy. Electric cables must in many cases be run across access roads with inherent dangers. The bar/restaurant/supermarket was closed. Toilet & washing up facilities were in need of maintenance as was a lot of the site. One night was more than enough.

Travelling party: Couple

This has to be one of the worst sites I have had the misfortune to use, the toilets were smelly and unclean , the showers were no better and the Chemical waste disposal point was in a similar poor condition.
The only plus point I could say about the site was the Toilets and Showers block was heated as it was winter time and -5 outside .
Won't be using this place again unless needs must.

I was surprised that this campsite was included in your otherwise excellent selection that I used. The hot water for washing up was non-existent and there were stray cats walking around on the sinks. The Kimi facility was disgusting. It is the worse site I have ever stayed on. It seems incredible that this site can cost the same as the superb Los Madrilles at Isla Planta. I found your directory and directions excellent and fantastic value for money and I will certainly subscribe again despite this one black mark. My comments were agreed with by another English couple who stopped for one night on the way back to Santander.
