The showers are hot but no privacy in terms of changing as the shower cubicle has no facility to keep your clothes dry.
I must comment on the way the cleaners do their task. They scrub hard, including getting down on hands and knees, to make a good job. One lady was even extremely caring, helping me to access the toilet as the floor was wet where she was cleaning it; I have mobility difficulties.
While I appreciate the site can\'t help the weather, there are many pitches which are simply a sea of mud when it rains. There are also pitches which have been gravelled so this prevents the problem so why can\'t they all be covered in gravel?
I feel very upset about is the WIFi! The Camping Card information implies there is free WiFi as well as WiFi you have to pay for. This is NOT the case! I don\'t mind paying for WiFi but I DO MIND if the price is extortionate for the quality you get. Thinking it must be a good connection at a cost of 10 eros for 3 days on one appliance I decided to buy it. The free connections available at other sites have been far better. A total rip-off!
We used this site as a stop over. The pitches were a good size and quite well shaded. Toilets and showers were excellent. We took a walk along the river which was attractive but the gardens next to the campsite had shut for the night.
The site met most expectations. The one exception being they do not gave a free wifi zone despite what ACSI information says. Paid internet. Thank goodness for 4G mobile access
Used as a stopover site for one night on the way back to Santander. Very wet and boggy pitches but can\'t help the weather. Pool shut and didn\'t appear to have been maintained over the winter. Several Spanish plastic shanty town permanent pitches which detract from overall image. Toilet facilities very good.
We choose this out of the ASCI book, price showing as 20 euros, we knew it would be different as turned up just before Easter but never expected 44 euros per night. Was also advised minimum of two nights. In all the time we have been touring we have never paid such a high price for a not good site, in all honesty would not say it was worth 20 euros per night. Also many others turned up and stayed just one night. I did asked at reception why I was advised the minimum stay was two nights they just looked I don’t understand. Following our experience would definitely NOT recommend this site. The pitches were very muddy and messy and very small.
Nice site with one of the best W/C and showering facilities we’ve come across. We stayed for 4 nights and found the whole place along with the staff really friendly. Food and drink in the restaurant / bar was good and reasonably price. The town is approx 25mins walk or an easy 10mins bike ride. We travelled by train to Madrid which took adult 50mins and was just over €8 for a return ticket. The train station is a good 35mins walk from the site. Would definitely stop here again
Out of season stop off, reception staff very personable, spoke excellent English. campsite clean and well tended. The pitch was a good size with water, electricity and drain. Toilet block and showers were spotless. Showers were large cubicles with plenty of hot water and very powerful.
We stayed for 2 nights whilst heading North for the ferry at Santander. Very pleasant reception staff, we chose our pitch which was dusty but spacious. The toilet block close to the shop/playground was very good, although regulating the water temperature was a bit hit and miss. Nice little shop. The pool was closed but looked OK. The site were making a great effort for Halloween. Nice walk into Aranjuez through the park, but no dogs or bikes allowed. The Summer Palace is well worth visiting, fabulous interiors. Extensive grounds to explore. If you get the train to visit Madrid Atocha, it costs €8 not so much. A good stopover site.
Pitches vary in size. Pools great but cold, sunbed area in shade by 1600hrs. Limited menu but moules were great. Used as o\'night stop on way back to Santander, will use again next year.
Stayed for 2 nights. Toilets/ shower etc very good & clean, (seats & paper provided). Pitches shaded & different sizes for different vehicle, most seem to have electric & water.Pool & area very nice, although slides etc closed off, probably due to season end, but did not bother us.
Have to say VERY disappointed with the restaurant, service initially was good, meal basic, quite salty, then when we wanted to pay had to wait at least10 minutes before ‘chief’ came to take payment. Wouldn’t recommend restaurant.
Didn’t go into Madrid, although told can get in by train quite easily, spent the day in Aranjuez, walking around the palace gardens & the palace , very interesting (in October on Wednesday & Thursday it’s free entrance after 3.0pm!) it’s about a 15 minute walk into the little town, (although it is possible to get a lift in on the tourist train, which is stored at the camp) There is a L’leclerc supermarket heading into the town from the south which sells cheap fuel + of course all your grocery needs. Thank you
