We stayed for 2 nights whilst heading North for the ferry at Santander. Very pleasant reception staff, we chose our pitch which was dusty but spacious. The toilet block close to the shop/playground was very good, although regulating the water temperature was a bit hit and miss. Nice little shop. The pool was closed but looked OK. The site were making a great effort for Halloween. Nice walk into Aranjuez through the park, but no dogs or bikes allowed. The Summer Palace is well worth visiting, fabulous interiors. Extensive grounds to explore. If you get the train to visit Madrid Atocha, it costs €8 not so much. A good stopover site.
Pitches vary in size. Pools great but cold, sunbed area in shade by 1600hrs. Limited menu but moules were great. Used as o\'night stop on way back to Santander, will use again next year.
Stayed for 2 nights. Toilets/ shower etc very good & clean, (seats & paper provided). Pitches shaded & different sizes for different vehicle, most seem to have electric & water.Pool & area very nice, although slides etc closed off, probably due to season end, but did not bother us.
Have to say VERY disappointed with the restaurant, service initially was good, meal basic, quite salty, then when we wanted to pay had to wait at least10 minutes before ‘chief’ came to take payment. Wouldn’t recommend restaurant.
Didn’t go into Madrid, although told can get in by train quite easily, spent the day in Aranjuez, walking around the palace gardens & the palace , very interesting (in October on Wednesday & Thursday it’s free entrance after 3.0pm!) it’s about a 15 minute walk into the little town, (although it is possible to get a lift in on the tourist train, which is stored at the camp) There is a L’leclerc supermarket heading into the town from the south which sells cheap fuel + of course all your grocery needs. Thank you
Excellent campsite with very helpful staff. Easy walk through lovely park into town with the palace well worth a visit. No problem to walk to the train station for Madrid with train times available in reception. Interesting Saturday market. Site quiet during the week, busy Friday and Saturday nights but not unduly noisy.
Stayed a week and would highly recommend a visit.
Very large and quite noisy site that obviously caters mainly for families. Lots of children’s activities were going on but we only stayed overnight on our way south. Good restaurant and well stocked supermarket.
Very handy situation for overnight stopover near the main highway. Nice town and royal palace worth a visit.
One of the best and prettiest sites we have ever visited. Lovely staff and obtained good discount on the 14 for 11 nights deal and ALL electricity was included. Restaurant food and service excellent. We will definitely return!
This is a good campsite friendly staff popular with locals lots of children playing but come 10 pm Silence. Pitch size good, water on most pitches. Restaurant good.Showers and toilets constantly cleaned. Used as stop over on way south will use again
Stayed overnight so didn't get to sample the pool and facilities. Pitch level, and quiet when out of season as we were. A lot of permanent set ups so could be noisy if all occupied !
The surrounding town looked interesting but did not explore.
Would use again if in the area
We stayed here en route to the north. Pitches are tired and worn out, preference given to weekenders from Madrid. Permanent pitches are scruffy and have a shanty town apparence. Avoid at all costs at weekends. All pitches are pre booked. Aranjuez is the "place to be seen" at weekends, weddings, celebrations etc.. That is is if you don't mind going six times round the roundabout to find the place. It is a pity the bar staff are treated so badly ( I am a fluent Spanish speaker and their attitude stinks!) Aranjuez is a nice city. The site is expensive for what you get. Wifi expensive. Full of Brits undecided where to,go.
We stayed here as we got recommended it for going to Madrid as it was cheap and quick to get to. Unfortunately it wasn't, we had to take our campervan to the station as it was a distance and it was more expensive than we thought, however it did take around 50 mins to get to Madrid. However Aranjuez was great, the whole town is very nice with the palace and surroundings. The campsite was good, the swimming pool was open which was a bonus, and the toilets and showers were also good. As there is a river running next to the campsite, there were loads of mosquitos!
