A good campsite in the Rioja region, 10 km from Logroño. A base for trips out in the area, but also suitable as a stopover campsite. Naturally a visit to one of the many Rioja bodegas is 'compulsory'.
Extra discount: 7=6 / 14=11

we planned to spend 4 nights here on the way back to Bilbao but site was so poor left early the next morning. site is overcrowded with residential caravans. reception staff less than helpful. However the bar and the bar staff were very friendly and welcoming
Touring Caravan. The ACSI directions to Camping Navarrete were excellent. Friendly and efficient welcome. We stayed 7 nights for the price of 6 as a site deal with ACSI. Pitches were average in size but level and all had easy access to electric and water. Toilet, Washing up and Laundry facilities were excellent. Good BBQ area and good shops in nearby Navarrete. No supermarket, Pool, Food or Snack bar available in May. 90% of the site is seasonal pitches and the Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be busy with Spanish families in High Season. Navarrete is a good base to tour the La Rioja region and there are many Bodegas in the local area. Great dog walks in close proximity to the site. Navarrete is a handy base to reach either Santander or Bilbao Ferry ports approx 3 hours away and it has some good bars and restaurants too, There is a small market in the square near the Cathedral on a Wednesday every week. Large supermarkets are only 10 miles away in Logrono. Cycle and Walking routes are in abundance and Navarrete is on the Pilgrims Trail to Santiago de Compostela. Do visit the Cathedral and do have a Pilgrims set breakfast or lunch in the small restaurants nearby.
Happy to find the campsite open as other campers mentioned that sites further north were closed for the season. Easy going staff told us to pick any site for our tent. It was grassy and shady. Toilet block is large and clean. Situated in a nice area with the town close by and not far from the hwy.
Nice site, good location and very friendly staff. As I have problems with mobility I found the showers a bit of a worry but managed without mishap. Nice pool, with lifeguard , but didn't like being bombed by teenagers. Free WiFi in bar area.
Handy stop over from ferry, easy to get into. Very helpful staff. We had a trailer and we were able to leave it hitched up. Lots of tourist information available. Lots of statics and as stated previously facilities could be stretched. Will definatly use as a stop over. Handy for Bilbao and Santander.
We have used this site as a stopover to and from the mediteranean coast for several years. The staff have always been very friendly and welcoming. The small bar/restaurant is very clean and the prices charges very reasonable. Rioja wine is available to buy ready boxed for travelling. Wifi is available. The toilet/shower block is new and spotless. Remember to take your toilet paper into your cubicle. The pitches and almost flat and we have never had any problems even tho we have never booked in advance. The site is approx. 1 and half hours drive from Santander/Bilbao. 20 minute flat walk into small town.with several bars, restaurants, shops and church. Much prefer this site to Haro, where we have also previously stopped.
Useful stopover, very friendly staff. We were here out of season, I think that with the number of statics it would be overstretched in season. Mostly grass pitches so might be a problem in bad weather.Wifi but only round reception.
Pleasant campsite that was easy to find off the autoroute. Pitches, water, electric fine. Large toilet and shower block with excellent hot water. The small bar was friendly and inexpensive. There is a fairly main road outside but we didn't notice any noise at night. We'll certainly use this again as a stopover at least.
Stayed for 2 nights in September on way back to France. Very helpful staff and excellent facilities. The town is small but well worth a visit. It s on the Camina de Santiago so plenty of small cafes.
Nice site and stopover on the way south. Could be a bit tightly packed in high season. Seemed to be mainly long stay caravans.
