I was going to say that this site is a blot on the landscape but that would be unfair to blots!
The only satisfactory thing about the site was the friendly young lady on reception. She insisted on taking our money in advance and we soon found out why....the touring pitches, of which there were very few, were small, difficult to access and decidedly not level. The toilet block was basic and there was no hot water at all on site. The rest of the site resembled a makeshift camp for refugees - scruffy and dilapidated.
By some distance this was the worst site, ACSI or otherwise, that we have stayed on. We would recommend that you use this site only as a last resort.
Arrived during tremendous thunderstorms during our tour of Galician coast. recommended pitches too small for a 6 metre motorhome, in fact site plan didn\'t relate to actuality at all. The site is very tight and littered with seasonal vans, so views restricted. Toilets and showers good and clean.Cafe closed until June. Good situation but the worst overall of those we\'ve been to in a month.
Very close to beach which is beautiful and my wife walking the dog on beach saw dolphins. We only stayed one night so did not see any sports facilities or any food and drink in the camping site.
This is an awful touring site. It is full of old touring vans based here permanently, all cramped together they are nearly touching. Very few touring plitches available. Site restaurant and bar closed. Nearby hotels closed to non-residents. Shower water barely warm although facility was clean. At least the electricity and wifi (slowly) worked. Friendly but uninformed receptionist.
We nearly avoided this site because of poor reviews. However the toilet facilities were very good, the showers the best we had, the receptionist very helpful and the location glorious. So glad we went there.
This is pleasant small site, owner very helpful,
pitches are quite small.
Toilet & showers very clean. Washing machine and dryer.
Beach just across the road.
Having read ACSI reviews dating back to 2011 it would appear from our recent overnight stay that this site has not improved in the slightest. Visiting in May 2015 we found that it was a shanty town of static caravans most with sheds/ stores and decking, some in a terrible state.
We travelled miles out of our way on the expectation that this site would be up to the usual ACSI standard. Oh were we sadly disappointed! Please alter your description so that other caravan and camper owners do not suffer a similar fate to us.
Truly horrible site. Restaurant NOT open, no bread available, dryer hasn't worked for ages, pitches totally unsuitable for motorhomes. Beautiful location spoilt completely by hideous, ramshackle sprawl of 'permanent' caravans, sheds and fences. Needless to say, staying only one night. Avoid at all costs and REMOVE from booklet! Did the ACSI inspector go to this site? Description in ACSI booklet is mostly fiction.
