Stopped on February 22nd 2018. We have used this site going northwards and southwards, the staff have always been very friendly. There were only a few visitors during our stay but it felt secure. The weather was cold but the showers were lovely and hot, we will return.
Stopped here on way south. Very good WiFi and free. Close to plasencia and lovely bike ride around nearby lake. Very clean toilet facilities but basic and cold...but it is winter. No hand soap provided in toilets. Electric hookup tripped a lot which was frustrating but good stay here and we would return.
This was our 2nd time here and we will return again. Very friendly and helpful staff. Site is well maintained and very clean. Lots of hot water. Good bar and restaurant, where prices are not over the top. Nice walking or cycle tracks straight from the campsite. Spacious pitches with plenty of shade or open sun if you prefer. Lots of lovely birds (feathered kind). Is busy at weekends so can become a bit noisy, but otherwise peaceful and great atmosphere. Pool not open when we visited, but looked good.
We stayed here for 2 nights. It has good sized flat pitches with plenty of shade. The facilities are good with hot water. Quite busy while we were there particularly as it was Easter weekend and the Spanish descended upon the campsite! The town is a walk along the river and lots of historic places to visit. Great if you have a bike as there are cycle paths along the river would recommend it.
+ Site and area big surprise. Totally fab. Cycling/walking great. Flat river path to town (2mls). Great reservoir to cycle/walk by. Historic buildings. Good TI in town. Site could use update but it\'s like an old friend, you forgive it\'s quirks because it has so much going for it. Don\'t just use as a stop over. Come for a few days and explore.
- Needs update including, hot water to wash basins, washing area, we got it from washing up area. Shower controls really need update as scalding water over taps! No soap or hand drying facility in loos.
++ Staff and locals great. Friendly, patient and helpful.
Swimming pool makes this site. We stayed in June and the surrounding area was stunning. Excellent cycle paths from site. Facilities always spotless though showers a bit tired. Very little English spoken by management. Downside lots of poplar trees which in June shed cotton seeds everywhere so looks like snow and they stick to everything.
Decent sized flat pitches but soft in wet weather, campsite was almost empty when we were there. Showers and sinks (hand and dish washing) water was not that hot. Nice walk along riverside into Plasencia, used market in town for fresh fruit and veg, restaurant was open but did not use it, swimming pool closed.
We used this as a one night stopover rather than our usual Caceres site. Nothing wrong with the site, just had an odd feeling to it! A lot of long stay residents. Good toilet facilities. A bit out of Plasencia. Ok for a one nighter. Peter Caceres with its en-suite facilities.
We stayed for one night and wouldn\'t choose to go back other than if we were desperate for a stopover. The site is dominated by long term \'residents\'. Toilets and showers were very clean. It was resonably easy to find. We used our ACSI card, didn\'t have electricity and we were charged extra for 2 dogs.
Visited here 13/03/2015. Location lovely. Staff V helpful. Toilets & Showers V poor. In need of modernisation. Mens showers cold. Had to use women\'s. Dirty and small.
