This is is a small, quiet site located just behind the pebble seashore. As others have commented, pitches are small and narrow. I think a unit above 7m would struggle here given the trees, tight turns and overhanging branches. Sanitation blocks are good as are the showers. There are plenty of facilities for the size of the campsite. Well maintained pitches are level and most have some shade. The site is bordered by two roads, but not much traffic so noise isn’t a problem. It’s quiet at night apart from an annoying barking dog somewhere nearby. The pool area is good and the little shop has most of the essentials including bread to order. Wifi is amongst the best we experienced on any site in Spain. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, but it looked like a nice setting. Pleasant level walk along wide seafront promenade into local town, but there’s not a great deal there apart from a couple of bars and restaurants, mainly seafood. We didn’t find a supermarket nearby but there is a fruit and vegetable shop and butchers in the town - both small. Access from the N-340 isn’t the best, but if you follow the campsite signs you shouldn’t get into any major difficulties.
Overall this is a perfectly good site, great for relaxation in pleasant surroundings without the noise and bustle of a big campsite - recommended.
We stayed for 2 nights in our motorhome. On arrival we were advised to find a pitch and pay later. Most pitches rather narrow with overhanging trees which would have made it difficult to manoeuvre. Fortunately we found a larger pitch at the beach end of the site. Nice pitch, with some grass. The site was not busy, so felt very open. Toilet facilities excellent, hot water for washing up and showers hot. Gate at end of site allows access to shingle beach and promenade with cycle track into village (1.5km) with bars, restaurants and Spar supermarket. We are at the on-site restaurant one evening, but missed the menu del dia as hadn\'t realised one needed to book this.
spent 2 nights here at end of season. relaxing place with friendly staff right next to beach. good facilities. dogs welcome. I would recommend it.
Had a look at this site, but I’m afraid it didn’t appeal. The pitches seem tiny, very shady, and manoeuvring our 7.5 metre motorhome through the tight entrance and round the bends on the camp road whilst trying to avoid branches and plants was difficult. Can’t comment on facilities as we did not stay, but it’s hard to see why this is in the top Camping Card price bracket.
We stayed here for 6 nights having only planned for two. The site is family managed with everything kept to a high standard. The showers and wc cleaned on a regular basis with hot water available all the time, newish shower block. We had three evening meals in the restaurant (6.30 - 9.30) , all done to a good standard for a three courses good value, small bar and coffee shop open all day. Nice swimming pool and outside area. The campsite has access to the sea and pebble beach via a rear gate. The local small town does not have a lot going on but plenty of restaurants and coffee bars just one mile along a flat cycle path. The campsite shop does fresh bread daily and most basic requirements including some local product, reasonably priced. Peñíscola is about 20 miles away and makes a nice day out. Great stay at this campsite.
Friendly helpful owner, idyllic quiet pitch yards from pebble beach.Flat cycle path/walk along promenade to !ovely small Spanish town.
Charming, peaceful and everything within a few steps, even the dog shower.Delightful friendly owner Joachim.
Medium sized motorhome + smart car and trailer fitted snugly on the pitch ok. An attractive site with trees and hedges and a lovely pool and bar terrace. Did not eat in restaurant as it was a la carte only.
There are nice places to explore nearby and the valley of the River Ebre truly lovely.
Well what can I say. On first arriving we were not sure but boy did we warm to this site. Pitches are fine , only divided by trees so not private but hey so what you get to talk to your neighbours! Facilities great, always being cleaned. Beautiful spotless pool area. At bottom of site is a gate and you are on the beach! It's stony but beautiful. Best of all specially designated cycle paths in both directions along the prom. At least 2km each way, fantastically flat easy riding. Cycled every day. We were only booked for one night but stayed 3 , would have stayed longer if we could have! Even adopted a little kitten for 3 days! A must if you are in this area. Small restaurant on site but we didn't try it.
Writing this while we are here for our fifth night. Arrived planning to stay two or three nights but don't seem able to leave. It really is the friendliest of places. As others say we were warmly welcomed and good English is spoken. The pitches are small and large units may struggle but out of season we have been able to use two small pitches under shady olive trees for our camper.
There are several washing blocks but the one we used, recently refurbished is excellently appointed. Spotlessly clean the water in the basins and washing up sinks is boiling. Only disappointment it is not possible to get the showers above a cool to tepid temperature. Also sort timed push buttons. A shame as the cubicle is large, plenty of hanging space and dry area and good shower pressure. Toilets have paper and soap is provided. Used the washing machines which were good.
The swimming pool area is very pretty. Sun beds provided and a tropical feel with palm trees around. Quite warm and very clean. A lovely place to laze.
The bar and lounge area is also attractive. The changing menu looked good but we didn't eat here as we were tempted by the excellent fish restaurants in the village. The site has a small but well stocked little shop. Bread can be ordered and good croissants too. There is also cheese and cold meats.
The beach right by is pebbles but this probably saves the area from being ruined as it is beautifully tranquil. There is a prom plus cycleway to the village which has a harbour and fantastic selection of restaurants plus a bakers and a spar etc.
The Ebro Delta is less than half an hour away with superb cycle routes. The tourist information in Les Cases has leaflets showing the routes. Recommended again with a stop for a local rice dish.
The only negatives on the site are the cool showers and at night there seem to be a lot of local dogs competing to bark the loudest but this I know is out of the owners control. The small roads by the site are very quiet and traffic is not an issue.
We must move on to see the Mattarana but are struggling to leave this delightful place. Totally unspoilt coastal Spain.
