Perfect site during the low season, we visit the site for many years and still love it
first impression was great. nice reception. swimmi g pool restaurant. then all the hut which looked great nice grass but between then and clean. However when we got the the pitches I must say we were shocked. I know it was very busy. But the only pitches available for us was right at the back of the site. with the railway line so was quite noisy. the biggest issue we had was to get around then corners I had to unhitch and use the mover for about 100 mtrs. before getting to the pitch. which had a tree right in the middle!!! leaving was even worse had to go around 2 corners before being able to hitch up. Pitches were very dirty no grass just loads of mud & dust. glad it was o my for 1 night. will not go there again. Ok we do have a large twin wheel van. my advise if you do dont go there.
There is so much that is good about this site. Excellent choice of pitches, great facilities, lovely staff. The thing that ruined it for us was the noise on the Saturday night. It was unbearable until midnight and then children ran about outside our van shouting until 1.00 a.m. They were just having fun but it was so loud we couldn't sleep. We mentioned it when we checked out but it is obviously a policy here to have loud entertainment so it isn't going to improve. I see from another review that there are quiet pitches but we weren't told about these on arrival. Otherwise excellent.
Dear Mrs. Hart,
First of all, we would like to thank you your positive evaluation of our staff and pitches of the camping. We are also so grateful to you for sharing your impression of Vendrell Platja with ACSI community.
We would like to apologize to you for inconveniences mentioned about the noise on the Saturday night. Although our security staff intend to do their best to guarantee the silent hours (00:00 to 7:00 a.am.), sometimes they are not able to warn in time the children. Otherwise, we would like to apologize also to you for not being able to find a pitch in a location for guests whom are looking for relaxing and calm holidays.
We hope to see you again next season (open doors from 18th of March 2016)
While touring we picked this site and intended to stay for a few nights or more. However the majority of the site is taken by permanent caravan pitches that take up most of the avaliable space on the site leaving little room as an actual campsite. We left after only two nights and will not return as those owning the caravans arrive at the weekends in low season and there are many cars, people, children, noisy and not the type of environment we felt comfortable being in, we also found many people to be rude. Saying that the staff were nice and the beach OK, the rest of the area was also OK but there are better places to be.
Dear Mrs. Hall,
First of all, we would like to thank you your positive evaluation of our staff and location of the camping. We are also so grateful to you for sharing your impression of Vendrell Platja with ACSI community.
We would like to encourage you to test our new Master pitches area, on the place that you stayed last time. From this 2014 season, this area has no permanent caravan pitches and we have enlarged the size of pitches in order to turn into a more quite and confortable area, specially adapted for guests whom are looking for relaxing and calm holidays.
