Spent 2 nights here on route towards the Pyrenees. Excellent location next to the beach which is used by kite and wind surfers. Quiet site with good sized shaded pitches. Toilet facilities clean and modern with plenty of hot water. Site supermarket has a good choice of groceries but pricey. Nice pool and very quiet while we were staying. The site price was higher than we have had to pay in the 4 weeks we have toured Spain.
Roses a short drive, 30 minutes and worth a visit..
I would however recommend this campsite.
Set amongst plane trees and within easy walking distance of a small town. There are excellent cycling paths in the area and it's a mile and a half to a long, sandy beach. Good tourist info office next to the campsite. The campsite pool didn't have a foot bath so the area around wasn't particularly clean and the sun loungers could have been more comfortable. Very peaceful throughout the site during the week, but come Friday night its buzzing with the return of Spanish families who keep their touring caravans there.
Great sight, super location, greatly underestimated in ACSI book, very close to lovely town. All staff excellent, reception girls especially helpful and nothing too much trouble in all areas. Shop open would have been helpful as plenty holiday makers still there. Only downside was noise at night as many Spanish weekenders like late night life. Good FREE yoga! Would certainly return.
We stayed here for 8 days early June. If you stay longer, special deals are available. Large or small level pitches with good shade and good access. Separate sex toilet blocks, the one near the restaurant more modern. The central one was clean but womens showers had poor run off for water, probably from hair in drain. The staff were very helpful and the bar/restaurant was good. The wifi is cheap enough but poor quality. There are a large number of permanently sited caravans, mainly occupied at the weekends. We saw no pine forest but there is a very good walk by the river and an easy walk into St Pere Pescador, a nice town. Plenty of restaurants/bars, our favourite being La Taverna.
This is a great site, within easy walking distance of the local town, supermarket and restaurants. Staff extremely helpful and friendly, wifi reasonably priced, beaches within walking distance. Clean well kept site which we will definately go back to. Pitch sizes are very generous, peaceful and quiet. Toilet and showers spotlessly clean. There is paper and sanitizer to clean the seats in the toilets. 10/10 Town of Roses and Empuriabrava close by for larger supermarkets or any other needs. Coach trips to Barcelona available on the site. Close to Dali's final home. There is so much to do from this site, whilst at the same time spending time at the pool is also worthwhile especially if the weather is good. Take away and restaurant food available in high season although take available throughout.
We arrived on 5/5/2013 and found it to be a little jewel. Great staff, superb pool/bar/cafe. The number plate recognition is a great idea. No more waiting for someone to push a button day or night. A mixture of nationalities. A very friendly site already booked for next year
Great site although only had a overnight stop here I will be returning and will be staying for longer.
