Stayed here for a week and would recommend the site especially for families with young children. Our large pitch was adjacent to the sea front and close to the access gate to the small beach almost exclusive to the site. Toilet and shower facilities were clean and appear quite new. Washing machine at a decent value. Entertainment in the bar area was aimed more at families so we didn’t use it much. Although the on-site supermarket and restaurant offer a good selection we found better value in the surrounding area. A small army of staff were working constantly to keep the site clean and tidy.

We stayed at Bella Terra for 8 nights at the end of May 2019. We were greeted at reception by a very efficient Dutch lady, who suggested a plot suitable for children.

The site has four pools, two of which were open, including a fun pool. The boys swam daily.

There is also a “mini club” but a parent must stay with their child/children, so much of the benefit of the club is lost. However, the pool lifeguard did babysit the boys in our campervan one evening, so we were able to eat a meal out together.

We took with us 2 x 10m hookup leads plus a 1.5m euro socket adaptor. 21.5m was barely enough to reach the electric socket, and we could only do so by running the cable diagonally across the neighbouring pitch and under their caravan. The occupants of the pitch were not their most nights, and when they were there we had to unhook. We did ask the very efficient Dutch lady if she had an additional lead we could borrow, but regretfully she did not. We later got the impression that she had been very rude about the way we parked on the pitch.

If this was the case, she later fully redeemed herself by only charging us for one child.

We have stayed at a great many campsites in nearly all EU countries during a year long tour before the boys began school. This was one of the best!

This is a large campsite with easy access to the beach, within 20 mins walk of Blanes on the Costa Brava. Half the site are long stay caravans, with a mixture of campers from Spain and other European countries. When we were there in late May the weekend was noisy from Spanish weekenders, with children running around between vans up until midnight. During the week however the site was quiet. Plenty of good size pitches with shade, and the toilet facilities were excellent and always clean. The reception staff were helpful. It was a 15 minute drive to the local railway station and then 1 1/4 hour train journey into Barcelona. As it is near the end of the line, getting seats into Barcelona was fine, but had to stand for 1/3 of journey when leaving Barcelona as the line is very busy.
