We came here to stay overnight on the way to circuit Catalunia ( 20 miles away, we found the Mary celesta and we were here on a Saturday, the reception staff were very helpful, there is only 5 amps we blew it twice, but it was cold so we had 900 watt heater on as well as van, used the bar very good, the showers were excellent loads of hot water and the block was heated, warmer than our motor home..we didn\'t go off site so can\'t comment on village but we could se it from the site so not far away, free wifi on our pitch.
I unfortunately had a broken motorhome windscreen so needed to stay local for a week. This campsite is great and the best showers ever - the water is always very hot. I could not have been more welcome by all the staff and their excellent English more than made up for my poor catalase. The area is lovely for both town/village and countryside. Very happy to give a good report.
We arrived mid-week in the first week of July to find a Mary Celeste of a campsite (mainly empty caravans on seasonal pitches). However we booked for 2 nights and stayed for 6. It got more lively at the weekend. Vic is lovely and Tarradel is within walking distance if you turn immediate right out of the campsite and follow the single track lane. Beautiful views from the campsite.
The toilet facilities were excellent and staff spoke good English and were very helpful. Restaurant and shop not open during week days out of season but staff would order bread or get things from shop if asked. Busy and noisy at weekends but blissfully quiet mid week.
A well planned and managed site with each pitch at a separate level - the access roads are very undulating and access might be tight for larger vans - centrally located shower / toilet block has ample facilities but due to the large number of statics busy season could be a challenge - reception staff very helpful + there is 24/7 security cover here?
The town which is very nice and full of small shops, is short walk down unmade road which is the way the co-ordinates tries to bring you - use address in Sat Nav
