This site has a free coach ride to Barcelona in low season and also a shuttle bus to Mataró and the beach. Lovely site with excellent toilet and shower facilities. The staff were extremely helpful and polite.
Excellent stay. Staff at reception/bar/restaurant all spoke English & were friendly & accommodating. Toilets/showers etc always clean & plenty of hot water (probably only complaint was not having individual wash basin cubicles). Washing up facilities good. Food & drink ok. Shuttle buses into Mataró & Barcelona excellent. Thank you. Joined in on ‘Sangria making’ course, that was fun. Also went on walking tour in Mataró was interesting, Francesc was knowledgable. All in all a very enjoyable time. Thank you.
Travelling with an elderly Springer Spaniel and visiting Barcelona city was rather a worry for us....the campsite reception could not have been more helpful. They found a lovely señorita, Monique, who collected our dog from the site, took her to her house in the mountains and sent us photos all day so we could see she was ok. Above and beyond our expectations. The site was large, busy and very well run. The constant bus service, dog friendly too, was a huge bonus...all in all a very good 4 days. We found a grassy pitch near the goats and donkey which was very spacious and shaded. The noise from the road and train easily sorted with earplugs!
Amazing campsite if you plan to visit Barcelona but you don\'t want to stay in the hustle and bustle of a big city. The camping is strategically located in the southern neighbourhood of Matarò and on your arrival the extremly kind staff will explain to you all the possibilities to reach Barcelona - there is a shuttle bus service that stops in front of the reception and can take you to the city centre for a small fee or to the nearest train station for free!! (shuttle bus service to city centre is free of charge in off peak season). On top of that, after sightseeing the city, you can be welcomed in this beautiful campite that offers a pool with sun beds and shades overlooking the sea, beach bar, minimarket, restaurant with take-away food, amusement park for kids etc. !! Highly recommended!
First of all bad points which ruined our trip. We arrived between high and low season, told if we wanted our acsi card rate we\'d have to move pitches half way through our 5 might stay! second no beach nearby, except a rocky part you pass under the train line though a urine smelling tunnel to get to.
Worst of all was when a friend came to visit us at the beach, she came back to our pitch for 2 hours for a BBQ, security came and took her ID card , so we thought everything was ok.
when we went to leave with her to get the train back to bcn that night after less than 3 hours there they said she needed to pay a full days stay. there was NOTHING on the booklet we got with the rules about visitors, she did not use the pool as it was closed, only came for dinner.
the guy on reception (longish curly dark hair) said unless we pay she was not getting her ID card back, which is out of order. he lied said she had been there over 4 hours which is a load of rubbish. long story short we were extorted out of money to get her ID card back. for this reason alone I will not recommended this site to anyone.
Add this to the fact of the noisy Trainline and no beach nearby I\'d rather go elsewhere.
oh forgot to mention I did email the management about the staff holding the ID card for ransom,,,, no response!!
showers good, dish washing facilities brilliant. pool ok but not much shade and not allowed to wear footwear inside pool area. Apart from the person who robbed us for the ID card the rest of the staff are brilliant.
Pitches are incredibly tight and too close to each other. Not enough room to put up our awning. Ideal location for visiting Barcelona as they offer bus to and from the city and nearby train station.
Bel campeggio fronte mare ma senza accesso diretto alla spiaggia. Personale alla reception molto gentile, preparato, accogliente e con la possibilità di parlare più lingue. Piazzole ampie e discretamente ombreggiate, terreno erboso/ghiaioso. Facile l\'accesso. Belli i bagni e molto puliti. Ampia piscina, ben attrezzata. possibilità di usufruire di una navetta per accedere alla spiaggia del campeggio
Very good site. Easy access to Barcelona and Mataró, cities and beaches. Staff extremely helpful.
Near main road. We made mistake of booking a superior pitch with sea view but that meant we were too near the noisy road. Better, several rows back. Food & drink very good and reasonably priced. Very good, supervised pool. Would definitely return.
Excellent site. No faults at all. Lovely staff.Showers are the best ive seen on any sites we hav stayed. They have thought of everything you could need. Free buses to beach/town and even into Barcelona are a great bonus. Would definitely come back.free wifi
