Used this site as a base to take our scooter into the city. As it was very quiet we chose a pitch next to the beach, just fantastic. Access road was narrow but we got our 9m motorhome in without a problem. New water and EHU points had been installed but no earth when I checked the electric. Site is next to airport but we didn't find the noise a problem, and no flights overnight.
This is a large well managed campsite. We hadn't booked in advance and on arrival we were told that our caravan was too large (7 m) for the remaining pitches and we had to pay extra for a premium pitch. We still had an ACSI discount and our view of the beach was lovely. Good shop and bar, cafe. Very convenient for Barcelona, reception will give you bus times. Lovely beach alongside the site. Yes, there is noise from aeroplanes taking off from airport but you quickly get used to it & it didn't seem to bother most people we spoke to. We had doubts about a site so near to a city but actually it is a very nice site.
Having read the comments we were hesitant to stay here but it is the only realistic place to stay if meeting incoming arrivals. We were pleasantly surprised! Staff were excellent, security was good, tapas at the restaurant were excellent and not expensive. Facilities were good and clean with very hot water, the block near the restaurant being the better of the two we used. It\'s worth paying an extra for a beachside pitch.
We spent just over a week at this site. That wasn't the original plan, but we loved Barcelona and the site was good.
The planes are noisy but you soon get used to them. The little shop which sells a range of groceries, drinks and bread is OK but expensive. The bar is good and if you try to speak Spanish, the measures and service become generous. The ground staff/cleaners are all a bit grumpy, unlike the reception staff who are brilliant.
The toilets are not unisex, as stated below, are clean and the showers do what they are intended to do. For Brits with Aquarolls and Drainmasters, there is a proper tap for filling up in the laundry and a drain to empty your grey water.
It is a bit of a hike to the bus stop along the main road on a rough path. Nevertheless, we took the bus in each day. Be sure to buy a T10 ticket which covers both the buses and the Metro in Barcelona and research how to use it. They are very good value for money. You can buy one in the Metro station near where the bus terminates in the city centre.
Nice campsite on the coast next to Sandy beach , we got a beach side pitch it was spacious and the scene stunning.
Friendly staff , handy little shop and nice hot and clean showers, you get used to noise from planes, would stay again.
nice big site on the coast, paid extra for beach side pitch but was worth it. plenty of clean toilets and hot showers, staff friendly well maintained site. Near airport so noise all day and evening but you get used to it.
Great site for visiting Barcelona via the local bus which does get busy and we were sent on a bit of a route march to find the stop which was very close. Beach lovely but site a bit close to airport. Toilets need attention, didn’t use pool as only stayed 3 nights. Wouldn’t wanted too stay any longer.
We stayed on this site for a week as we had to fly back to the UK for 4 nights. Barcelona airport is quite close and the noise from aircraft taking off can be intrusive, though we did get used to it.
Reception were very accommodating by allowing us to leave our motorhome unattended for four nights and even arranged a taxi pickup to get to the airport which is about 20 minutes away. The only down side was the price which was 25€ for a very short journey. On our return the price for a taxi was less as we picked it up from the rank.
The restaurant and staff were very good with the quality of food being excellent.
Security was top rate and actually patrolled the site during the night.
Would use the site again
Although this site is close to a main road and Barcelona airport, neither bother us, we were near the toilet/shower block in the middle and could not hear the road. As for the planes, you soon get used to them, you can pitch by the beach, or under trees. Electric 5amp, you can walk out the back of the site on to the beach. Here you can hire windsurfing/kite surfing equipment, or try to catch supper by fishing. Toilets are clean with paper but unisex, showers may not look much but are good, plenty of hot water, bar prices are reasonable i.e. grilled chicken salad and chips €8.50, only down side is the walk to the bus stop approx. 80mtrs alongside the busy road just inside of the crash barrier.
Ideal site for visiting Barcelona with the bus stop nearby with a half hourly bus service into the city. We opted for a beach side pitch which overlooks an amazing beach, excellent. Other pitches where ample size with easy access, the shower and toilet blocks one is outdated but clean enough and do not have the push button system in the showers, always plenty of hot water, the other Block has been renovated to a good standard, the reception staff always very helpful with good English spoken, the restaurant area always seamed busy although we never used it. There is also a very well stocked supermarket. I would recommend this site, it’s ideal for a beach holiday or visiting the city
