We\'ve stayed here several times and the staff are very welcoming. Pitches are tired and worn, handy as a stop over site. It is also well located for visiting Pena de Francia, a mountain with fantastic views some 60 miles away, also convenient for visiting La Alberca, a lovely traditional village where you can eat a reasonable price. You are given a card to open the barrier on arrival so you can come back late from days out. You can come and go as you please. We would recommend this site.

Wouldn\'t agree with Cat 1 listing. The site is old, tired & in need of lots of TLC! Hotel food being one of the best points, very reasonable price as given a special deal on arrival. Bus direct from site into Salamanca which is definitely worth a day visit. Wouldn\'t stay again.

A good campsite near the historic city of Salamanca. There is a bus stop right outside the campsite, which is very cheap, just remember the bus number for coming back (we didn\'t and we missed the bus, not a problem though as we went to a bar for an hour!) Toilets and showers were clean and good. staff were ok, but we had to go to the hotel to check in and out.

It looks a good choice campsite from the first impression. No one at the campsite entrance, you have to book in at the hotel. All the pitches are slopping. The toilets and showers are very old and in need of a good update. Rusty shower heads, nowhere to sit, towel and clothes exposed to the shower. The worst thing for us was, a group of very young children arrived around 4pm, we went into city and returned about 10.30 the children were still running around and making a lot of noise, a couple of campers actually left, or moved further away.

Site could do pruning a few of the trees as it was difficult to fill up with water with a large motorhome. Very large pitches with no problems with the trees

Excellent base for visiting Salamanca. Easy bus ride or traffic free cycle. Green cycle ways all over Salamanca. Pitches a little rough but toilet block excellent. First class 50m pool with shady lounging area. Shop and bar OK. Didn\'t try hotel restaurant but discounted prices looked good.

We stayed 31st May to 4th June. If you go nowhere else, go to Salamanca and stay at this campsite. The welcome may be a bit iffy depending on which hotel receptionist is on duty. The campsite had an unkempt look to it when we arrived but the facilities were good and well cleaned. The grass was cut by the time we left. The bus into Salamanca leaves from the Hotel car park. Would definitely recommend. Did not use the shop nor the Hotel restaurant.

Very poor campsite. The pitches were tired and scruffy, the whole place could do with a massive makeover. Handy for Salamanca with a convenient bus service from the campsite.

My wife and I have been touring Spain throughout the winter and have stayed on many sites ! In our opinion this was the worst ACSI site!
Very neglected sloping pitches with tyre ruts in many of them.
Toilet facilities clean but cold!
We believe this is only popular because of it\'s convenient location for people travelling through Spain and the owners have made very little effort, as they have the monopoly.

Stayed again at this campsite en route to North. A very handy stop over. The hotel is open late, good meals, very handy for Salamanca as bus stops outside. Supermarkets nearby and local restaurants. Staff are nice and helpful. Will definately use as a regular stop over, appears to be a safe site with barrier. Heated washrooms, clean.
